More Apartments in Village of the Arts.

Village of the arts has several of these old apartments that were renovated, and they are really nice.

Village of the Arts is in our downtown area and the city is using it to fill the needs for more housing and to draw more people to the area. Its fun to see the old houses come back to their glory and to see the new homes mimic there styles.

These apartments next to one of the painted homes. They have enlarged the Village by quite a few blocks of homes. This is all in downtown Bradenton, within walking distance of downtown, and the courthouse, city hall, police station. Also walk to restaurants and bars is very nearby.

I think these new buildings are townhomes, there are two rows of 8 each. Could not get a pic of the name to look them up, due to construction traffic. Took this through the windshield.

Ladies in Waiting to be renovated. Most of the homes were built in 1920's

Their furniture is all large scale and will fit in beautifully with the high ceilings and spacious rooms!!

  3. They look very nice. Glad to hear those last ones will be renovated. I would much rather see old buildings restored than torn down.

  9. I adore tile roofs. As A rule I don't like white on anything...but it really pops on the house with the roof and the sea blue window frames.

  11. I love that Florida takes care of its older houses and revamps them. Keeps the area young and alive. The row of houses - that is kind of what we are in now.

  12. Since we live in a repurposed building, I always like to see other buildings that have undergone a similar revamp. These styles in the Village of the Arts are lovely, Sandra. The more modern condos are like ones seen in many other places.

  14. Love those "oldies but goodies" homes. They are going to be wonderful when renovated.
I really like the old apartments style. So sturdy and just look like they belong there..no ticky tacky ...
Our last day of gorgeous weather..tomorrow a cold front comes in and there is suppose to be rain this weekend and snow in the mountains. Hopefully it will get it out of its system before Easter.
    Have a good day today..

  16. "Ladies in waiting" ... I just love that!
This area looks so prime for HGTV to swoop down for their next season of Hometown. Like they did for Wetumpka.

Wouldn't you love to peek inside one or more of these? If you've the opportunity, please keep us updated as they begin transforming them!

  18. That's wonderful that run down areas are being renovated. I know it's costly and time consuming but I do so wish other places would copy fixing up what's already there rather than building new. It's so much more 'homey' when it's something established. Good photos. I'm enjoying the 'tour' of y'alls area.
    Blessings. 💙

  19. I really love those old buildings. I'm glad they renovated them and didn't tear them down. The new building look nice to and yes they do look like townhomes. We lived in a townhome when we first got married. Actually they were called quadminiums and there were 4 in a building and 4 garages across the front from the street. Then when Mark and I divorced and moved out of our home I bought another quadminium and my unit was above the garages.
