Bob Update

The look of pain on Bobs face is not from physical pain, but the fact he wants to be home. Yesterday he spent a total of 5 hours in the wheel chair, not all at one time.

He is in bed and just in last two days able to stay in chair. He is unable to walk, but physical therapy is teaching him to stand on one leg.

He can't come home until he is able to transfer himself from wheel chair to bed/bathroom. I am unable to take care of him as he is now.

Yesterday was day 11, and the swelling in the foot went down almost to normal. He will have x-ray of ankle next Thursday.
I miss you all and am unable to do anything but care for Beau and Bob in two different places plus all the things that run a home must be done. I can't use laptop in his room because it upsets him, as it has since his memory problems the past year.
Will try to update at least once a day. I miss you all and thank you for your prayers and know that I am praying for those of you that have spouses with health issues. My praying is keeping me at peace for sleeping at night and I am getting the sleep I need

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..

  2. Hi Sandra :)
Good to hear from you and know that the swelling in Bob's ankle has gone down. I know it must be frustrating for Bob to be either in bed or in a wheel chair, but his ankle is getting better, and these breaks can't be rushed. Blessings to you both.
    Well wishes,
    Sonjia

  20. Sandra, first I want to say that I am thankful that you are praying and God is answering your prayers for peace. If only Beau could go with you! I would make it so much easier on you as well as Beau being a good therapy dog for Bob. In any case, I'm upping my prayers for you both.

  23. So glad you were able to do this update for everyone, as you can see, you have many friends out here in blogland who are praying for you and who truly are concerned about both of you, and Beau too! We will keep praying for Bob's ankle to continue to get better and that maybe he will be able to get around sooner rather than later. One day at a time. God is with you!!

  27. A welcome update.
So there is slow but steady? progress for Bob.
It is very hard to keep everything running as it were. You are amazing, but its because the Lord is upholding you through all of this. Just like your quote...from Philippians, which by the way is our wedding text! And the 25th is our #38 anniversary...those verses have comforted and encouraged me though many things, good and not so good.
You are daily in my prayers and I often also think of you.
    Sending another truckload of hugs.

Be patient both of you and hopefully he will become mobile again, one way or another. Sending hugs to you and Beau and best wishes for Bob to keep on improving. I'm glad your faith is comforting for you and enables you to sleep.

  38. Sorry he's stuck in the chair and I understand how hard it is to go back and forth. Read your last post and see you have a pup sitter so that is good. Sorry my email is still broken. Sending you lots and lots of love and huggs. Cheers, Ivy
