Azaleas And Sunshine Today

I found these beautiful blooms at Heritage Park Rehab Facility today. Parked my truck with its nose almost in them and HERE they Are... Just for you.

Azaleas are hard to grow for me, we have killed several. But they do grow in FL as these photos prove and there is still time for you to get your flight booked for Patlaka's Azalea Festival

  2. I've had a couple azalea plants and both died. My dad on the other hand used to have several around his house that were huge. I did not inherit his green thumb.
Thanks for sticking your nose in the flowers for us. It's a nice change from looking at all our snow..lol

  3. Gorgeous, Sandra.... I love Azaleas and we have several in our yard. The only reason I don't care for them as much as other spring bushes is because they don't bloom for very long... Bet the Azalea Festival is GREAT. Are you going?
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. I love the azalea,s. It has been a long time since we've seen them like we used to. I miss them terribly. Now that it is spring I've been looking back through my Photos and I realize how we don't get the blooms we used to.

  12. Thanks for sharing the sunny blooms. The azaleas are beautiful, love that color. I love to see them but I don't plant them in my yard for the reason Betsy mentioned, the blooming period is so short.

  13. Never managed to keep them alive (as indoor plants) but they are lovely.

  14. Did you post 3 times yesterday?? I didn't see this..I love them..in the area where I'm at, they get lots of moss or fungus around the base..like many trees. But again, there are areas of the island that they thrive because of the coolness....
