Down By the River - again

    Nice macros of the lichens, those would be good in a salad. What is that in your third photo down, a berry? I love the John Muir quote.

    Being in nature is healing to body and soul. The first two images look almost like lichen on the branches,or is that leaves.Very interesting.

    Sandra I always wondered how to explain to blog friends who have photographs on their blog - why I join them or why I like them so much. And I get writing the words awesome and beautiful - although they are.

    Lovely macros! Is that some sort of fungus growing out of the tree?? So unusual looking!!! Kind of like little flowers. and are those berries or some kind of flower pod?
