Sandy PAWS

I found the ONLY Self Service Dog wash I have ever seen, only 5 minutes from home.....if you want to check out prices (really reasonable I think) and what they offer Click HERE....

Sandy Paws Self Service Dog Wash even has a claw foot tub... HE HE HE

PLUS outdoor Facilities.... HE HE HE (remember, my NY resolution, no more LOL)
Just down the street about 10 blocks away, I found these wonderful Pups in Waiting, sitting across the street from the owner who was sitting at the sidewalk cafe drinking coffee.
When I showed these to my hubby, he said "this would be perfect for a dog car wash like the one in K-9"
One of our old favorite movies that we have watched numerous times is K-9 and Belushi takes his
Shepherd Police dog, Jerry Lee, through a car wash in a convertible, because Jerry Lee Refused a bath.

  2. I remember that scene! Those handsome fellows don't look like they need that kind of washing however.

The pained fire hydrant and paw prints are very creative. I wonder if the dogs find the fake hydrant confusing?

  5. Cute..but I would wonder why you just wouldn't do self service in your home. To save the mess maybe?

    Love the header!

The grey lady was just talking about that D-earth dog food.

Hum, I wonder if we have something like that here? only how does one lift a 55 pound dog and put them in the tub.?

How long do you think your New Year's res will last???lol

  8. I've never seen a self service dog wash. I wonder what the advantage would be over bathing them at home??
I don't remember seeing this movie. Gorgeous doggy and funny scene! I probably should watch it.

  9. Hi Sandra,

  11. We have a doggie carwash in town but Oliver doesn't take advantage. In fact, dalmatians rarely need to be bathed as their coats shed dirt well.

Oliver would not have been waiting patiently in the car for us to have coffee. He would have joined us for a latte (1% milk, with caffeine)!!

  16. Okay, I'll still LOL!! LOL at the fire hydrant. I guess I live in too rural an area, I've never heard of self-service dog washes. You've advanced my education...thanks! Cool looking vehicle there.

  17. Several of the pet stores around here let you bring your pet in and have places you can give them their bath...all free.

  22. He, he, he. I'll try not to say LOL when commenting on your blog. We have a self service dog wash in town but I've never used it. We can do Ms. Pug in the sink. I've never seen "K-9". Guess I should add it to the queue.

  23. Self Service Dog Wash....... I'm confused. You can bring your dog in and wash him/her yourself? And this saves your home bathroom from getting messed up maybe?

Can you tell I have never been a dog owner? lol.

  29. I do not have a dog, and have seen MANY self serve bathing places. It is like a car wash. I think this is good for folks that don't have the right set up at home. Or maybe they don't want to be on their knees by bathtub to bath the dog.

The other thing that is very common in our area is home service dog and cat grooming vehicles units. Most are size of small vans. Our daughter has one that comes to her house to bath her Persian cat!!!

  30. Cute post! I don't think Ruby Sue would like the self serve place-she can barely take having a bath in our home : )

  31. Dear Sandra, I too love that movie very much. I watched it again several days ago and enjoyed as if I saw it the first time. Belushi is one of my favorite actors; I enjoy his humor. And shepherd dogs, they are my favorite dogs so Jerry Lee won my heart the first I saw him. But the dog in the Jeep is also so cute.
