Did you know they make Tea with Hisbicus? Serendipiti Tea just in case you want to try it.
Hibiscus come in Hardy and Tropical. Ours are all Tropical.
These bloom year round in our back yard, but remember they are TROPICAL. They will not tolerate more than a night or two of light freezes. Even one hard freeze (below 25) could kill the plant. These plants are native to sunny, warm and usually humid tropical places. NOTE: to have these you have to put up with 97 percent humidity on New Years Eve
They detest cold, rainy weather and cold wet soil. SO DO I... they love dry and Humid. I LOVE the Flowers NOT the humidity
I brought this to the kitchen table because it was practically laying on the ground and that is beyond this old lady. BUT I can sit at the table and Snap! Snap! Snap!

It is a beautiful example. A double one too. A great colour and a great shot.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really pretty hibiscus, I love the soft coral color. I see a few here in the summer months but they don't like our winters at all, only a summer treat for us. But since I don't care for the humidity I'll just enjoy your photos.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photography as always and then your new scrapbook techniques.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly blessed to have a photographers back yard for capturing all of GOD's beauty.
Its bitter cold here.
It is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSomething tropical is just what I need right now. It's 18 degrees and still snowing.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Hibiscus, love the color of it
Just lovely my Dear...
ReplyDeleteBut I too, could not take the humidity. -sigh-

i like your brutal honesty for those of us who were going to be very jealous that you have them year 'round. i guess i'll keep the store-bought seasonal ones... :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, its nice to see such beauty all year. I love the soft tangerine colors. They look like double or triple hibiscus.
ReplyDelete~:)
I love their apricot color! And how lucky to have all year round!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a day brightener. Hibiscus are so beautiful in color, shape and texture and you have captured it all.
ReplyDeleteHave to say your comment on my post left me envious of you and your hubby's self-discipline in limiting fast food!
Such pretty shots. The humidity really does a number on my hair!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice day. We are at 29 degrees at 11 a.m. and it is so windy! Ugh!
They are beautiful! I can't imagine anything that beautiful growing here in January (outside, that is....)
ReplyDeleteI love hisbiscus--and the color of yours is gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteSnow here today and 14 degrees when we got up... Brrrrrr.
Hugs,
Betsy
You are a wise woman bringing it in. I would do the same. Gorgeous flower and what a great color! Reminds me of a creamsicle. Cold up here today but I can live a little vicariously through your pics.
ReplyDeleteI love it but I could never stand the heat and humidity. The 'H' word just wipes me out and I get bitchy real fast. I don't think I could ever get used to it.
ReplyDeleteSo you are still growing in Florida right now. It's so pretty and I love the color too. Not the humidity. Wonder if you dried that out you could make tea?

Beautiful peach hibiscus. All of my red hibiscus are gone for now.
ReplyDeleteI love having flowers in the house. It immediately brightens my day to see pretty flowers.
Are you enjoying our 50 degrees with sunshine today? I love it! There will be a fire in the fireplace tonight. :)
I never thought of you as a cruel person, but showing these beautiful blossoms on a day when it is cold with snow on the ground comes pretty darn close to crossing the line.
ReplyDeleteI have had hibiscus in green teas, which were very good.
What a beautiful flower, especially in January!
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty, I love the color.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
ReplyDeleteI like the new soft ware.
what a beauty....great photos....that color is just awesome...
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful...laying on the ground of even getting on my knees on the ground is beyond me...
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Sandra ~ love the color!

Great idea to bring to the table!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful flower Sandra! I know it wouldn't make it here in West Virginia where it is currently 33 degrees at 7 pm!
ReplyDeleteBreath taking colors and images . all of them. I love your comp.
ReplyDeleteAll the best in this the New Year.
