LOOK BOB, the red hibiscus are in a cluster like a bridal bouquet. SNAP!
By the next day they had all closed. Snap!
Then I decided to play with Shutter Speed and see what each one did. Each photo has the SS written on the photo and are not edited except for re-size. And they were taken at the same time as the cluster above. Amazing what zoom and shutter speed does
I liked this one above but it was a little dark, so I lightened the one below PicMonkey. I call it Tweaking
Above is 1/250 which is way to dark, below is the same photo TWEAKED and Cropped
oh....so beautiful. I love the red.
ReplyDeleteFun experiment. It's a beautiful flower no matter how you look at it.
ReplyDeleteNature gives so much pleasure. Thank you sharing your beautiful flowing hibiscus
ReplyDeleteflowers in that first shot. The other shots are interesting too.
It is always fun to play and experiment. The hibiscus makes a great subject for your tests. I do like the way the blooms cascade in your first photo.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! Although I have no idea what you're talking about with the numbers. I know so little about cameras. I know enough to get by a little bit but then it gets confusing. It's why I gave my Nikon3100 to my son. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI love this flower...great shots.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun thing to do. I have tried it too,but not with such a pretty subject.
ReplyDeleteCan you lighten and do some of that "pic-monkey-stuff," right in the Photo Program, which comes with your computer? I can on my iMac.
ReplyDeleteAnd since it's just part of my own computer, I don't figure that it is as much real "pic monkey-ing," as using a real PicMonkey Program. -grinnnnn-

I like your post and the difference in speeds. It hit me last month finally that the faster the speed, the darker. Guess my brain finally caught up.
ReplyDeleteI like your editing too, makes the flower pop!
When I get a better camera, I'll be referring back to this to run my own experiments. Interesting as well as gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love that last shot- such a pretty sharp red against the green leaves.
ReplyDeleteA lovely selection and what fun you had experimenting, I must find time to do this.
ReplyDeletei like some of the darker ones. :)
ReplyDeleteMad Snapper you KNOW we are your biggest fans. the things you do with just one pic are amazing.....
ReplyDeletewe like the one with 1/100 on it too
Hugs M&M
Tweek away Sandra!!
ReplyDeleteYou do a fantastic job of improving your beautiful photos.
Hibiscus are just made for photography.
To me, it is amazing what we can do with photos that are so dark...always like magic when we mess with them.
ReplyDeleteThose are just beautiful and you are so good with a camera. which is great for the rest of us who get to enjoy it all so much.
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is gorgeous! I do like the darker ones. :) I really like your tweaking!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...red is so vibrant! You have a nice camera!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the different settings for one photograph...I do not have any flowers to take photo's of at the apartment. I almost stopped to take a picture of some flowers in other peoples yards but chickened out LOL
ReplyDeleteFun to see the variations. Beautiful flower; I like some of the darker ones, too.
ReplyDeleteOf course the last ones were just gorgeous! What a difference a shutter speed means.
ReplyDeleteYou got some terrific shots Sandra! I hope you are having a beautiful week!
