The paths in Robinson Preserve are lined with these yellow flowers, I am not sure if the flowers close and make these pods or if the pods make the flowers. but they sure were beautiful.
UPDATE...Peanut Recall, added 500 products. CHECK HERE
UPDATE from Mamabug comment. these plants are called Rattlebox and these are Shake Shake and are on the Florida invasive plants.... so not desirable, but they are pretty
So much beauty, so little time
I think I've got my "groove" on but I'm too tired to get up and "shake my bootie"!

ReplyDeleteHi Sandra
ReplyDeleteWe both woke up grumpy this morning, but I have just played your song and it has got me thinking....
What a lovely song and yes, there is beauty in the world but too much media bad news does its best to get us all down.
Just what I needed to get me out of grumpy mood
thanks, thanks, thanks.

That is so true ! There is beauty in the world if you just take the time to look...great song
ReplyDeleteThere is beauty in the simplistic things.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors in your photos today! And I like your header ~ very Halloween-y! :)

LOVE macro shots!!!
ReplyDeleteBut! Since they are down-deep and of teeny-tiny-bits... I want to call them "MICRO" shots. -sigh-
"Auntie"
your beautiful yellow flowers are called Rattlebox and those are the seed pods. don't handle the seeds inside as they are poisonous.
ReplyDelete-chuckle- Don't have any idea what that "green thing" is, hanging above that porch, in town! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to take another swing by and get a closer look!!! A fun challenge! :-)
"Auntie"
i love the grasses. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and I love your new header!
ReplyDeleteCool pictures. The first one seems familiar but cannot name it.
ReplyDeleteThe grasses were amazing. It's wonderful how one word, grasses, can cover so many beautiful species.
Love that name...rattleboxes.
ReplyDeleteToo bad they are invasive and the innards are poisonous.
Thanks for the video clip too.
Good stuff for starting the day.
Well dang those purrty flowers are invasive. too bad. We wonder why is it weeds and invasive plants are often purrty?
ReplyDeletehugs Madi and Mom
Looks like you had some great light atthe preserve. Those yellow flowers...I have no idea what they are but they remind me of sweet peas that bloom here in the spring. But those are usually shades of blue and purple.
ReplyDeleteHey! Just catching up after 9-day travels and have to say your latest Autumn header gave me a laugh. Mad Snapper right up there with the "punkin' heads"!
ReplyDeleteAnd the Bible verse is a fav of mine.
Unfortunately, those invasive species, even the pretty ones, can take over and crowd out native plants and animals.
Yep, beauty in the small simple things. You just gotta look.
ReplyDeleteYou can make the simplest of plants intrigueing and interesting. And yes - there is beauty in the world : )
ReplyDeleteBeauty is everywhere. It is too bad that some of these plants are invasive, but the beauty still remains the same. May as well enjoy them, seeing they are around any way.
ReplyDeleteInteresting plants - I like the ones with the yellow flowers...great macros. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteIt's quite sad that so many pretty plants are also invasive.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Sandra!! Love Macro. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove all the shots. Those are pretty yellow flowers even if they are invasive.
ReplyDeleteI liked the video.
Hey you got my toes a tapping. Love Macy Gray.....and yowee on the recall. Scary! Your photography skills can even make invasive beautiful.:)
ReplyDeleteYeh, some of my favorite plants to shoot around here are of the not-wanted invasive variety. Nice job on these though.
ReplyDeletePretty photos! I love nature and there is beauty everywhere. Remember that post I had from a gas station? I was taking pics while son was vacuuming the car. Beauty is everywhere. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about the peanut recall. Thank you!
Hugs!
First of all who is that gal? I am moving and grooving. Did you redo your whole blog layout? Looks great. And your photos are wonderful. Love the pumpkin in the header.
ReplyDeleteStop and smell the flowers!
Pretty yellow flowers and I love the light in the second shot, and the last one is my favorite. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me today. It was so nice of Ann to feature me on her blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recall tip too!
Beauty in the simple things! I love finding that myself!
ReplyDeleteLove Macy Gray's voice...always have. I think I would listen whether I liked the song or not sometimes.
