CD Archives - Desoto Park


Remember the bench from a few days ago? Here is the view from that bench at Desoto National Memorial  on the Manatee River. This beautiful park is 7 miles from our front door.

Sitting on the bench at the top of the hill, above and below you are looking to east.


Turn your head and look behind you and you will see a very large Gumbo Limbo Tree.


Below is the view looking to the West....


there are miles of hiking trails that follow the river and around the bay. below photo you can see part of the trail. there is a museum there and grass huts. If you missed the post on grass huts CLICK HERE and HERE

  11. Oh my gosh, I LOVE the big spreading tree behind the bench!!! But I'm thinking sitting there you may get quite a bit of bird poop on your head. I also see boats way in the distance.

  21. Desoto Park looks like a great place. What a neat place to hike/walk.... Love it!!!!

    My favorite photo is the view looking to the west.. Love that big Live Oak tree.. Gorgeous...

  22. Those are breathtaking views on all sides. I really like the bench under the Gumbo Limbo tree. If that park was here I would be on the trails almost every day, it is beautiful.
