Saturday Early AM we went to the flea market to get a Grabber/Pickerupper (see asterisk above) which is what us old people use to pick up things they drop, or reach the back of the shelf when our arms shrink and Bob is not home.
In our house it is used for tossing tennis balls for Jake
At Walmart one grabber is 10.00 at the flea market it is 3.00. The problem is, it is sold in a place that 90 percent of the items are a dollar and nothing is higher than 5.00.

Ankle and wrist wrap, tomato slicer, cute little strainers |
We went to spend $3.00 we spent $14.00 and came home with all these Smokin Hot Deals, see photo at top of post if you don't believe me
While in the throes of MadSnapper Mania, I looked down at the kitchen floor and the floor that was mopped at 5:30 AM that same morning, was covered in sand.
I Grabbed the broom and when I saw how much dog hair/sand I swept up only 6 hours after I cleaned the floor, I decided we need to get rid of the dog that sheds
Anybody want a 12 year old, 50 pound, blond hound that drops lots of blond hairs?
eats and sleeps, barks loudly.. CHEAP! Real Cheap deal.
Thanks for the dog offer, but I have a Samoyed!!!! I love how much fun it was to read this post.
ReplyDeletegreat finds....I hear you on the dog hair...Nolan doesn't shed...but all the rest of the do...
ReplyDeleteGreat deals, Sandra! Isn't amazing how much hair a dog can shed in such a short time?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that all that fur reveals is a much loved and happy dog. You can't put a price on something like that. At least that's what my MOM says. And you know what? she is right.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
You pyromaniac! lol
ReplyDeleteAs for the dog deal, I could trade you a 124 pound GSD who sheds enough every couple days to make a lap dog! So don't come cryin' to me about dog hair. LOL And actually, Bridger is literally on his last legs, having two back legs that are iffy and now a front right leg that's causing him a lot of grief. And now he's willing to eat only raw hamburger and dog treats. He's even turning down chicken and rice (like real chicken and real rice - like the kind I feed my husband!) I doubt we'll have this dog much longer, for he's 12 and running down fast.
I've missed you! Your savings at the flea market sound like what happens to us. lol
I love what you got at the flea market - I have two grabbers and love them. Now I know you aren't going to give your sweet dog away. Lol - I have one of those too! Lol. I have one like that too! sandie
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra
ReplyDeleteTry 5 cats, 3 of them long haired, everything is covered with a fine layer of grey. lol
Who cares, we love them all to bits.
I know you're not serious about the dog, he's your baby. lol
Briony
xx
laughing at all your 'deals'.
ReplyDeletei sweep here every day - mud balls, sand, silt, dog hair, dog food crumbles. endless... and i love it.
I'll take Baby! You can come visit her anytime! We don't live too far from you now. :) My Rambo sheds hair almost everyday that is enough for six puppies. lol I vacuum every day! And I wouldn't change a thing. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry.....you know I have enough cat hair now from really long haired Oliver!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSusannah
This is funny...I see the same sort of hair in my house everyday (never ending battle with cleaning it) but of course we love our hairy kids
ReplyDeleteI could vacuum twice a day after the cats and it still wouldn't be enough. I could cheerfully give them all away some days!!
ReplyDeleteNo thanks on the blood hound. I have a dog that sheds too. A hairy Pomeranian. I have to carry lint rollers with me because I find myself in the car covered in dog hair and I refuse to get out of the car like that!
ReplyDeleteI love a flea market. I just stopped and made some purchases at a thrift store today. Nothing I need of course.
Sandra, you make me smile.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the dog hair and sand but it is an opportunity to use that dazzling blue dust pan!
Isn't it funny how the best intentions of $3.00 turns into the must haves for $14.00?
Been there and done that...
Have a great day (dusting and sweeping)
(:0)
I think Callie Kat would object and she sheds enough on her own. Those are such great little strainers.
ReplyDeleteI need one of those crabbers. I'm okay with the ground but sometime use our tongs to get things out of the cabinets! I remember having dogs that shed and it drove me crazy.
ReplyDeleteThose are smokin hot deals and I would have probably spent more than that.
ReplyDeleteI remember when I had labs how much fur was always on the floor. Duke is a non shedding bread and I see very little hair on the floor. Of course he requires the expense of a groomer. I don't know which is worse
I think I have enough work just picking up after myself, thankyou... :)
ReplyDeleteI"ll pass on the pooch! We had dogs for years and have rather enjoyed these years without the responsibility. You got some smokin' deals allright. My Hubby would love to have gone with you. He loves a bargain!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI bet no amount of money would by that blond dog!!!
ReplyDeleteI will trade you for two cats that shed and one is very grumpy and the other is hit and miss with the kitty litter lately...e-mail me LOL

ReplyDeleteLove your flea market finds. I get really tired of pet hair/sand/litter too! I always have plenty to clean up!
ReplyDeleteHair, you call that hair. Try 2 inside cats, one indoor/outdoor, and two outdoor that visit indoors at least once a day. While I would love to have Baby I don't think she would be happy with all the kitties around. MOL!
ReplyDeleteI love flea markets! You got some great buys.
I am generally not much of a flea market shopper, but you got some really good deals.maybe i need to rethink my way of doing things.
ReplyDeleteGot my own shedder, thanks... It's unbelievable how much pug there is floating under furniture around here.
ReplyDeleteWe only had small to medium-sized dogs in past and shedding wasn't a problem. After the last one passed away, Hubby decided travel without pet issues was in our future.
ReplyDeleteNo traveling has slowed due to other family responsibilities. I hope the day will come for adopting a new canine friend from the shelter.
