HGTV and the Eye Exam


I love HGTV, I love House Hunters and Design Star and just about everything on that channel.

 I came home from an 8:30 AM eye exam,and since I was all blurred out, turned on HGTV to watch The White Room Challenge.

David Bromstad, my favorite of all the winners of Design Star and the designer on Colorsplash, gives the team a white box and X amount of money to spend at a designated store.


The above room was the winner, created only from materials from a party store. The challenge was to create a home office using nothing but what they bought there...

While watching the bleary screen on TV, and multi-tasking by commenting on blogs I could not see, I decided to flip on the web cam and see how big my pupils were..... You Know The Rest of the story without reading further.


and the web cam got totally out of hand... or make that totally out of EYE... as you can see, I am most definitely NOT web cam eye candy..

    You are brave! When my eyes are dillated, I HAVE to shade 'em with dark glasses.... Can't stand using them.

    You are so cute!!!!! But OHHHH NOOOOO!!! I LOVE Design Star and watch it every year! I did not know it had started, how many have I missed??? And the White Room is the best one of all! Oh MAN!!! I need to look, usually they will run the repeats earlier in the evening. DRAT! I have always thought you would make a good pupil...

    My, what big eyes you have.
    I'm surprised you could take off the sunglasses. After an eye exam I can't stand light for most of the day.

    I'm not an HGTV watcher at all--so all of those shows are new to me...
