Bucket Weeds, we LOVE them

Storm Update: Friday 6:38 AM. We are fine, just a little tree damage.

A few day ago, this vine above, about 4 feet long appeared with odd shaped, little pods that are tiny little purple flowers. I watched to see what the purple flower would do.
the weed is in  a banana plant in a bucket that Bob's friend Sam gave him,
woo Hoo a new species to document.

this sweet little puff appeared, much like a tiny dandelion, but only the size of a dime.

and then I noticed this long vine weed hanging out of.....

the weed is growing out of the moss rose, and I left it there to see what it will do... I LOVE WEEDS.

Let me know if anyone recognizes my new weeds.

  3. The fluff looks a bit like a dandelion seed head doesn't it?
Glad you like weeds, so do I, some of them are real pretty but because they are collectively called weeds everyone hates them.
    Lovely photographs Sandra.

  4. Your photos make weeds look beautiful. After all weeds are only plants growing in the wrong place.

  5. Sandra, glad to read that you are OK because as soon as the forecasters start taking hurricanes, concern about blogger friends in hurricane prone areas is on my mind. Weeds can provide the most interesting photos opps as you well know; sorry but don't know the ID of the mystery one.

  8. So delicate and pretty! I'm always amazed when I see yet another creation that we often don't even notice - that God generously placed here on this earth with us.

I'm going to see if I can identify that plant with my 'North American Wildlife' book.

  9. So glad you came through the storm very well.

Was thinking of you, and thinking, with little sleep the night before, bet you slept last night, after the torneado watch was over at 11PM!!!

So coooool, what you notice! With your interesting weeds. Again, cameras can make us be so much more involved with our surroundings. COOL!

  24. Glad you're safe and little damage. Weeds just go on growing in their own small corner whatever else is happening all around them. That one is pretty.

  31. No idea on what it is but it sure is pretty. Looks like the white is the seed pod. Maybe the flower when it blooms will give a clue.

I'm glad all in back to normal at your place.
