All day Christmas Eve, Eve, I sang Santa Baby and waited to see what Santa would place in my new stocking.
I was Good, Really good...
I found this in my backyard, right by the edge of the pool deck...OH NO! he did bring me a piece of COAL.
There were three ways this could have appeared in our yard.
1. Our back yard has a hidden coal mine
2. Bob was hiding it waiting to sneak it in my stocking
3. The brats kids next door stood on top of their fort and chucked it in the yard trying for a splash down in the pool.
Number 3 gets my vote! NOT that they have done anything like that before. last time it was oranges...
Maybe the neighbors kids got a visit early from Santa and they were throwing away their gifts :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the guys at work got a big lump of coal for part of his exchange gift. I think he enjoyed it more than his real gift
Wow... I got one just like it! Was I on the naughty list? No... Just kidding. Mine was smaller, by the time Santa arrived in Missouri, his gifts were lighter! Giggles early this morning!
ReplyDeleteIf your suspicion about Nr. 3 turns out to be correct, then you know where you can return the coal ;)
ReplyDeleteMorning MS
ReplyDeleteWe are 200% sure the coal had nothing to do w your behavior and we vote for #3 too....but just to be sure I think Jake and Baby need to do a little digging there could be gold too
Hugs
Madi your bfff
Maybe it was a meteor! I am certain you were good and it was intended for those kids next door! :)
ReplyDeletemonster kids. i like the meteor theory. :)
ReplyDeleteI vote for #3 also, because I know that Bob would never get you a lump of coal. (It is kinda funny though, lol)
ReplyDeleteI vote for number 3 as well - kids -what can you do? I love Taylor Swift?????????? Hope you had a great Christmas. sandie
ReplyDeleteI too like the monster/brat kids next door theory, Sandra, cause we fellow bloggers know that you are always GOOD. Hope that Santa left you at least one or two surprises.
ReplyDeleteBut Santa knows that you really like to burn things, Sandra... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm betting on the kids, too.
ReplyDeleteI think you were in the path of a meteorite and were just barely missed - just because you were SO good this year!! lol
ReplyDeleteProbably the brats, I mean those cute kids. LOL I hope you got something good in your stocking. :)
ReplyDeleteHope your day was happy!
Brilliant xx
ReplyDeleteThis is a very original gift perhaps a meteor ;)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, don't think it was Bob....
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did.
Love your New Year's header.
Have a Happy and prosperous new year you two.
I am sure you must have gotten something better than a few lumps of coal.
ReplyDeleteI knew you were too good for Santa to bring you coal.
ReplyDeleteMO COAL FOR MY SANDRA...SWEET GIRL THAT SHE IS! It was the brats ......they should be ashamed!
ReplyDeleteI like Ann's answer LOL...I Love Santa Baby...and Taylor Swift.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it fell out of the bag Santa has stuffed with coal for all those bad kids, he didn't mean for you to get it in your stocking however. Other than that I would go with #3, they were throwing away their gifts.
ReplyDeleteYou are a funny lady.
I know you've been good Sandra...Bob would never put coal in your stocking! :)
ReplyDeleteI just knew that Santa couldn't have brought coal to put in your stocking!
ReplyDeleteI just knew you were a good girl and would never get coal in your stocking! My first thought when I saw the photo was that it looked like a meteorite.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I'm sure of one thing, Sandra - it wasn't Santa. I KNOW you've been a good girl. ;))
ReplyDeleteAsk the kids to bring you some more to make it worth while. You can then sell it back to their parents.
ReplyDeleteWell, sweet Sandra if you ask me that is one of those gifts that needs to be returned. We know you were good all year so that gift is a mistake! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm surprised I didn't get any of that. Hope you are feeling better soon!!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and rest. sandie
ReplyDeleteWe have some new neighbors with 3 boys and I can't believe what they throw into our yard!
ReplyDeleteI was just SURE it was #2. Hope u get to feeling better.
ReplyDeleteClearly the coal was not meant for you my friend. ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you and your sweetie had a most wonderful Christmas.
Enjoy your blog break - I hope your back gets feeling better!
xo Catherine
