July 2009 Re-Run Toads Eye View

A few months ago, I rescued a tiny toad from our pool. I posed him on my husbands finger to take his photo. He was only 3/4 of an inch and soooo cute. Click on picture to see HOW cute he is

Toads Eye View of the world...

The sun was shining, the sky was magnificent, blue with white puffy clouds. Who knew but a TOAD what my camera would see when I sat it on the ground and snapped away.

This is what a toad sees from under his little home. I know, they don't really live there, but in this story they do.

The largest was 6 inches across and only about 4 inches tall. In these pictures from the ground they look like trees.

  3. Those toadstools definitely make wonderful umbrellas to keep the hot sunshine off those little toadies! They are cute. But I don't want them on me.

  4. Amazing photos! Why are they called toad stools? It would be pretty tough for that little guy to climb up on that one! Lol. Don't you just marvel at the variety and intricacy of God's creation!

  14. I wonder why it was at the pool when it had so many good toad-stools. Maybe he was hoping for an open bar....who knows. It is darling no matter what...and to be sure size isn't an issue here!!

By the way, thanks for stopping by today and I LOVED your answer to the last time you were seeing stars!!!

  18. Funny thing, I have always wondered how animals/creatures perceive things. Then I think about how we look at trees and mountains that are bigger than us...we just accept them as they are.

  24. Aw, what a cute little froggie. I haven't seen one that tiny in years. Bet he thinks Bob is a giant. I LOVE your shots of the toad stools showing all the details from underneath. If I was a tiny frog I might like to live under there.

  25. Those are the BEST pics!!! I love seeing that little toad! The smaller they are - the deeper their 'voice' - or so said a Park Ranger to us last week!
So you just set your camera down?? I was picturing you there - belly down and chin touching the grass.....
