Village of the Arts Houses of Many Colors


Village of the Arts owners must have a Crayola Box the size of Texas because almost every house has been colored...


There is a lesson here in all the colors...


We should all take lessons from Crayons
Some are dull
Some are beautiful
Some are ugly
Some are bright
But they all manage to live together in one box...

Our Village is in trouble, I hope they manage to pull it back together.. I found an article in our newspaper of plans to further develop and restore the village HERE

    I have mixed feelings about expanding the village - and I don't even live in Bradenton. lol

    I hate to see something delightful get too big. BIG might spoil the quaintness of the village and make it less fun for someone like me to visit. But that may be just me. ;)

    You are amazing! I love that crayon photo superimposed on the brick. Good grief, how do you do that magic?? And now I'm going to go read up on the piggy. So sorry for the blogger. And BTW, I had a disaster occur here this morning. My entire Feedly list disappeared when I deleted cookies at the instruction of a techie who was 'helping' me get Firefox to open my Etsy account. Unfortunately it still doesn't work, but I now have to log in with password to every single thing all over again AND I've lost my entire Feedly list and my GFC list. :-(((((

    That photo of the crayons on the brick wall is stunning!! It would make a wonderful poster. I could look at that all day long!!
    Colorado Springs (actually it is Manitou Springs) has a whole neighborhood of 'Painted Ladies.'
    I am afraid I am just not gutsy enough to paint THAT boldly!!

    these little home in this one area are so cute! I love all of the colors. Some of them look like small cottages that you see at Kim's lake. Some I like better than others but color is color! I really like the pic with the crayons and the brick wall. You are so very clever!

    Sandra, this is a beautifully co,orful artist village and after reading the article I am unsure whether expansion would be a good thing or not. It seems those in the village are in support. Sorry to read about Wynonna, it's hard to lose a beloved pet. Also thanks for Krysta's email and I did send her a short note.

    Oh, I so love them all! But especially the one that is kind of coral/reddish color...I always think people get too uptight about what looks good together. Just look at nature...everything is all thrown in together and we love it all.

    Oh my! All those colors remind me of the houses in Tucson...not the same style, but the love of color is definitely there! I should do a post some time just on the colorful houses here!
