Flower Friday + Zentangle


Dwarf Poinciana Blooms taken August 19, 2014. we also had 12 big Night blooming cactus that day. the Heat and Humidity is not good for us, but the flora loves it. Record heat for 2 months now.

My friend Carole emailed she had signed up for Zentangle Class.. Say What?

Here are two links to videos that will show you what Zentangle is.. I watched the video's and want to learn the Aura tangle, this is one I created in my head.
 I found the outlines in The Color Book on line.. you can use a color book if you have one. Or draw it yourself. Zen can be used on anything, not just flowers.

    Beautiful blooms! I understand about the heat and humidity...I don't care for it either! We've had a relatively mild summer, but August has been awful!

    I do go thru the videos - I am not sure if it would be fun for me - they say it will destess you but I think it would stress me more! It is amazing though.

    Apparently, we haven't had enough heat and humidity for lots of blooms. Our garden looks rather sad this year, except for the fennel "jungle." Haven't had caterpillars to keep it in check, but I saw the first one earlier this week. Most of the Zentangle I've seen has been black and white. Your colorful version is nice. It does look like fun to do.

    Loved your comment about the heat and humidity. I was driving by a church the other day and the sign board by the street said: "Tired of the heat? Better make eternal plans to avoid it - details inside" I thought that was pretty clever. Keep those beautiful flowers coming.

    What a gorgeous and unusual flower. I've never seen that one. Also your Zentangle flowers are very pretty and colorful. I have a friend who does Zentangle. I've never tried it.
