7 miles, 15 minute drive from my front door... Within the Historic Village of Ellenton, Florida sits a 100+ year old Victorian home, lovingly restored to its’ original grandeur, filled with treasures of the past. Step back in time, recall the days of old and celebrate the spirit of simpler times. Charms of Leffingwell offers antiques, collectibles and a Tea Room convenient to both Sarasota and Bradenton Florida. (info from Charms of Leffington site)
Walk up the sidewalk and onto the porch and step back 100 years. Everything on the property is for sale, Per the owner...
I took Thursday off from blogging because my friend Lola wanted to take me to lunch for helping out with her computer woes and I said, I have always wanted to go to Charms, and we went.. The Tea Shop was not open so we went one mile east and had BBQ at Hickory Hollow.
But before we ate I snapped about 200 photos and there are so many photos and I will be sparing with them, but this place is a fabulous place to wander and look and beautiful antiques for sale at very reason prices.

What a cool place! Can't wait to see more photos...

ReplyDeleteThis place looks wonderful, definitely my kind of place. Love anything like this and you took some great pictures. I feel such a turnip not remembering I can turn my anonymous button off to stop all that spam flooding in. Thanks for the reminder. I am now having trouble resetting the comment back on Today's Flowers. Operator error I guess and maybe trying to do it too late at night ;). I'll figure it out eventually.
ReplyDeleteWah! I leaned back for a nice tour, and you QUIT!! This will be an awesome series, and I can't wait to see each day! WHY is the owner selling, is he or she poverty stricken or going away? I want that white cart so bad!! Do they ship, do they have a website? I was wondering about the prices before you even said.So I guess no one lives there now and the house will shut down when all is sold.
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of place where would spend hours just looking and photographing everything in sight and sure that's what you were doing too, Sandra.

ReplyDeleteMom had one of those blown glass swans that is in the shelf by the swing.
That was my thought about our shop but it has become so crowded! Many people like that.
Porch swings, wrap around porches and that fabulous tea cart. Love them all.
ReplyDeleteI think I would go crazy there too with my camera.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE places like this, charming and quaint with lots to see (and photograph). The stained glass window hanging on the porch is awesome.
Looks like the time would pass quickly there with so many charming scenes.
ReplyDeleteThat place looks very inviting! Did you treat yourself to a little something or knowing you.....it would be clutter ...if not useful. Right?
