Ooopsies...

Oopsy Photos
Do you ever wake up with a song looping in your head? hum it? sing it? Whistle it? Does it stay with you all day?

Bob and I both do this and we give the song to each other.

Wed. while drinking our coffee in bed, Bob said do you want my song? I said, maybe, what is yours. Mine is  Moon River..maybe I will like yours better.

Bob started to sing... he knew all the words..
"if your sweetheart sends a letter of goodbye,
it's no secret you'll feel better if you cry...
when wakened from a bad dream,
don't you sometimes think its real...
it's only false emotion that you feel.

The rest of the day I hummed, whistled and sang the only lines I know.

If your heartaches seem to hang around
and your blues keep getting bluer with each song
Remember sunshine can be found behind a cloudy sky
so let your hair down now, and go on baby and CRY.....

I think these two songs just might be "Age Detectors" because if you reconize either or both you are OLD just like we are... Does anyone under the age of 50 recognize these?

to hear Moon River go to YouTube HERE.. or NOT..  these songs are from our distant past, think FIFTIES

  6. I am a huge fan of movie theme songs and instrumentals. I love Moon River was that from Breakfast at Tiffany's?
    My two favorite instrumentals are
The Theme from a Summer Place by any band. And Strangers on the Shore by Acker Bilk...does anyone under 50 remember him. Both of those songs make me stop what I'm doing and travel back.
    thanks for this great post

  7. All day? I've been looping "Piano Man" for close to a week!! I've heard of Moon River but, thankfully, don't know the words so it won't be pushing out "P.M."!!

    Best,
    Bonnie

  8. I met my hubby when the Movie was out with Sandra Dee. Love story.

    I loved the theme tune.

Unfortunately. The girl who played the main role in the movie was so cute Sandra Dee and she looked exactly like

    my husbands x girlfriend.

The good part. He broke off with her for Me. Ya!

I know that song too you were humming.

I am always singing Elvis Presley songs.

  17. Yes, I know both of these songs and they are good old ones. Didn't Andy Williams do one of the Moon River versions? The last picture is a beautiful sunset, it is certainly NOT a mistake with lights because I know what I see! Ha ha!

  18. They are too old for me, though of course I am familiar with Moon River.

Got to say your photos are really interesting and appealing.

  21. I have to say I remember Moon River very well. I never missed the Andy Williams show when it was on TV. Can't say I was ever real crazy about that song but I did like Andy. So I am old!

I don't remember ever waking with a song in my head but I remember once driving almost 400 miles humming and singing "Home Home on the Range" and no matter how hard I tried to stop the song just kept on and on and on.

I have a lot of Ooopsies. Hugs

  25. Yep, sure do know "Moon River".
That was around when Jim and I were "going" together. I have heard "Baby, Let your Hair Down and Cry" but could not remember the words! You know what I think? I think you and Bob are romantics. Those songs are beautiful and for him to say or sing it all to you first thing is the morning is so wonderful. Lucky lady, you are!
