The golden glow of candlelight is hard to capture. What we see doesn't always look that way in the camera.
The above photo, did not show what I was seeing. The photo was to white. I stepped to the right a tad, and a tad closer, until the LED screen showed the Gold. I did not have to edit to get the glow.
DID YOU KNOW you can remove candle wax from candle holders by placing in the freezer for about half and hour. The wax will fall out in your hand. OR you can pour Murphy's Soap Oil in and let it soak until the wax floats... But then you have to find somewhere to get rid of the waxy water...

Ahhhh!! I am a sucker for a golden candle glow! Yours is simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your golden glow. So very pretty. I did know about the freezing the candle holders although I've never tried it. Never heard of the Murphy's oil soap trick though. I've always just ran them under really hot water and it looses the wax from the glass and I can wipe it right out
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Sandra. The golden color from the candlelight is beautiful. Lovely captures. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics...I don't know why I don't photograph candles cause I really do like to see your photos of them....and I did not know how to get melted wax out of containers. Now I can only remember it the next time I need to know.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful golden glow and just by moving your feet. It is a good trick to remember in photography. Thats a grey tip about removing wax.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and peaceful too!
ReplyDeleteReal candles, I see! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the candles. Hmmm. I should try that!
ReplyDeletei love candles. great photos, sandra, wonderfully captured!:))
ReplyDeleteYou captured the golden glow beautifully. I have resorted to the freezer method in the past. Now I use tea lights in their little holders so I don't have to clean votives. Not as photogenic, though.
