Sometimes when I visit a friends blog, it is like a challenge to me. I visited Ann at SnapEditScrap and This Post was one I liked and wanted to duplicate. Since I am Craft Challenged, I brought my orange hibiscus inside to see what I could do by sitting it on a book... I chose my TOPS food journal.. The photo was ok, but no bokeh that I liked so much, thus the Lunapic Beauty edit above.
Now if only I could write so you could read what I ate on the 13th....
Coming Soon.... my electrified hibiscus...
The hibiscus itself is really pretty but I LOVE the edit. It looks like a painting. Did you do this in Lunapic or something different?
ReplyDeleteFabulous edit Sandra.
ReplyDeleteMS that is a gorgeous coral hibiscus! I cannot imagine it all electrified....but I eagerly anticipate your work
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia
Great edit and the porklettuce and salmonwalnut sound delish! HA HA HA! I tried writing down what I eat to help with my diet, but it embarrassed me so bad I quit. Cause I don't lie, and certainly didn't want to start now at this old age- instead of pizza I would say...one slice toast. Hmmmm that would be a whopper! Have a super weekend, you two!
ReplyDeleteThose are nice photos. I love hibiscus. I visited Ft Lauderdale in March one year, and was so amazed to see so many flowers blooming that early.
ReplyDeleteI think both versions are just simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your handwriting; made you seem so much closer...And the hibiscus is beautiful as is the edit. Off to read your friend's blog now...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.....
ReplyDeleteI really like the first hibiscus treatment. It looks like a pencil drawing. You do fabulous editing.
ReplyDeleteKeep going on your TOPS program. So glad yu are working so hard at it.
OH OH OH!!! It is beautiful!!! I LOVE it, again you have made art. You should frame and hang it. And the writing makes the whole picture look just a bit Victorian, don't you think? WHAT is the Luna Pic edit you used? I have never made something this beautiful with Luna. FYI...asparagus makes your pee turn green. Our DIL cooks it, then wraps ham around each stalk and bakes it awhile. The ham has to be really thin deli ham. she makes it for parties and everyone raves about it. Go to Pinterest, I go there every day and am addicted. Just type in Asparagus and you will find hundreds or recipes with pictures. Now, WHAT edit did you use, genius sister?
ReplyDeleteLove that first edit!! Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous hibiscus! So interesting what can be done with photos now.
ReplyDeleteLike Jo said, it's neat seeing your handwriting!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd love to see that hibiscus in person! It incorporates exactly the peach and yellow I wanted to use as my bathroom theme when I lived in Florida.
that hibiscus is so pretty! the color is so unique!
ReplyDeleteThe flower is so pretty.I love the color.
ReplyDeleteI liked what you did with your photo in that first shot. And how great to have hibiscus growing in your garden.
ReplyDeleteHello Sandra!:)The Lunapic image is fantastic, and it was a good idea to chose the beautiful orange hibiscus flower, but a bit of a tease to see the writing in your food journal. I hope the last word reads fluffy potato mash!!:) Both images are great!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, many thanks for getting back to me. It's amazing that this huge tree started it's life from a seed your hubby sowed in a container, ...in fact it's pretty darn wonderful!! We have a pole with a little mesh basket to collect our apples,...it's not very big, but useful for the oranges as well. Wish we had an avocado tree though, as I know they are good for you, and they are quite expensive to buy.
ReplyDeleteHe He!! I love mashed pots, but your dessert sounds even better!
So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love it. That came out so cool!!!
ReplyDeletegood morning sandra, beautiful edit! i second jo's comment...it's neat seeing your handwriting!
ReplyDeleteenjoy your day_ happy thursday! xoxo
