Wal-Mart Rose Garden

Wal-Mart never promised me a rose garden, but I found one early AM Saturday Morning... Whipped out the cell phone and here you are..

Showing you roses could be a thorny issue. I am not sure what this post stems from, but whatever it is you are stuck with it....

  1. I love being stuck with stems! Especially since I cannot see any thorns on them! Maybe my eyes? Because at WM prices, they would not be de-thorning them! Favorite picture is the last one, oh that sun!

  10. Beautiful images of the roses, Sandra. I've decided I'm ONLY taking my Smartphone as a camera on this trip. My camera (in bag) will take too much space which I could use for clothes!

  11. My last roses were thorns while cutting the ends to go into vase. Two went into my finger. Could not get them out. Too deep. So after a week I guess with showering and al I felt no owies.

Beautiful flowers Roses. Great you took them to show us.

  13. That was a pleasant surprise! I love the rose garden at the local university campus here. They bloomed last year through autumn!

  14. Pretty! Can't wait to see them again around here. Love the fragrance, too, except my Knockout roses don't have much scent. They are the only kind I can grow that will live. Never had any luck with the tea roses which are my favorites.

  20. This is going to sound weird coming right after Anni's comment ... but I'm not especially fond of roses.
EXCEPT, this bloom is simply exquisite!
They're just so fragile ... and fleeting, you know? Maybe there's a lesson for all of us.
