Can you find Lola? She is The Watcher. We never know she is watching us, she quietly stares over the fence watching. I had to stand with tablet held high over my head snapping what I could not see to get these. Her sibling is a tiny dachshund named Louie Armstrong and Louie is not quiet. He sings at us but we can't see him.
Watcher as title because one of my all time most favorite books is Watchers by Dean Koonz.. I bought it in 1987 . It is a sci-fi thriller with a different canine theme. Thor by Wayne Smith is another sci-fi thriller with a family German Shepherd...
Add Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux... and these are the only sci-fi books I have read...
and I read each of them at least 4 times. As a rule, I don't read or watch sci-fi.

A nosey dog but cute.
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Are the two dogs in the first picture actually two, or one dog that is edited? Because you said that her sibling is tiny, so I think this is all just Loki. I remember when The Watcher came out! Is it true that Dean Koontz is really Stephen King?
ReplyDeletePretty dog. Too bad the doxie is noisy!
ReplyDeleteCute dog too bad his sibling is so noisy.
ReplyDeleteI can answer Ginny's question. Stephen King and Dean Koontz are two different authors. Stephen King did also write under the name Richard Bachman and Dean Koontz used I think 10 different pen names
Oh! So cute. I want to give Loki a hug.
ReplyDeleteWatching...and waiting...
ReplyDeleteLoki is a most handsome K9. He looks like part greyhound....Does Jake ever notice the Watcher
ReplyDeleteI don't think I read the Watcher but I have read some of his books.
Seems like one was about doctors or medical stuff
Hugs Cecilia
Hello, Loki is watching you. Pretty dog. I read more mysteries than any other kind of books. Could you send up some of your warm air to Maryland, it is so cold here. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a neighbor who would sit on a stood in front of her kitchen window and keep an eye on all the neighbors!
ReplyDeleteLoki is a beautiful dog...what is he standing in/on that he is watching from? Does Louie Armstrong bark all the time or at Jake or what? Just funny how dogs are. The one next door barks and barks...and loves to be petted. I am so thankful she does not have a high pitched voice or it would drive me crazy.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t take you as a sci-fi fan and so you aren’t. Did you ever read Sue Grafton? She wrote the Alphabet detective series featuring Kinsey Millhouse. She passed away a few days ago. Her last book was Y.......
ReplyDeleteHer family said that as far as they were concerned, the alphabet ends in y for them.
Okay I saw him - but does he get through that fence - he looks kind of scary to me.
ReplyDeleteI think that is kind of cute! Too bad the other one make noise.
ReplyDeleteI've never read a sci-fi book but what you describe sounds interesting. I love love love Loki watching you from her tower. Great post, Sandra. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year to you. Jo
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds familiar, but I just looked it up and 'no.' I used to enjoy both him and Steven King; not sure why I stopped.
ReplyDeleteHas Loki ever attempted to jump down from her tower and join y'all? She's beautiful! I wonder if Louis Armstrong isn't a bit envious. My Grace is a 'singer' as well. :(
The watcher is quite a nice looking dog.
ReplyDeleteI also wondered if the dog ever comes through the fence. Happy New Year🍾🎉to you and Bob, Sandra
ReplyDeleteWatchers is one of my favorite Koonz books also. I still have the book and several more by him. I love to read. How creepy that Loki stares at y'all..what would happen if you said Boo! Happy New Year!
