Bigger than a Truck

Nature Friday has been provided by our Big Beautiful Powder Puff Bush, the one that is blooming and blooming. We planted this in 1989. It gets Big each year and Each year it is chopped back to four feet tall and the fun starts all over again.

Remember you can't plant flowers if you haven't botany!

I'm rooting for you! You Grow Girl!
What does the letter A and flowers have in common? Both are followed by bees.

Its Bigger than a Truck!

  2. they sell this plant over here but it doesn't do too well. My daughter had one and it died, the climate isn't any good I think.

The Dutch call her "lampenpoetsers plant" lamp cleaner plant, refers to the long flowering spikes, reminiscent of the tassels that used to clean petroleum lamps.

  6. I have got to remember the one about A's and flowers....for Lorelei. I must still be half asleep...took me a second to get the botany one. Or else my mind was totally somewhere else.

  11. Glorious!
It took me a few seconds, but I'm snickering over the 'botany' reference. Ya, THAT's my problem; I never botany.

  12. Wow! Exotic and lovely. But the first botanical pun made me laugh. We are at our favorite coffee shop with our computers. Evidently my response to Hubby's query about what was funny lost something in the translation.

I planted deep my urge to share your next paragraph. I just enjoyed internal giggles.
