Night!

I took this photo of an ice cream booth in the food court, in 2014 in our local mall, now closed and empty. I loved the look.
Above 1st copy I used NIGHT filter in Lunapic
2n one I used dodge and burn in PicMonkey because I can't find it in Lunapic.
Can you see the difference?
I can.
Original photo out of camera taken at noon on a sunny day

  1. I have looked and looked, and can't see the difference between the first two! What is the difference?? BUT I like the last one the best, your original one. I like them ALL, just the mood is so cool. But the last is my favorite. This kind of reminds me of those film noir old style detective movies. Only better.

  2. It's a shame so many places have closed! I am an artist. With oils. You are an artist with your photos and edits....Love all your photos!!

  3. I can't see the difference between the first two, but I can see how they are different from the original.

It's sad that the place is now closed.

  4. The lighting behind the front stool maybe? And one looks to be sharpened a great deal making it full of pixel flecks

  5. Hello,

I like the scene and edits. The top tow photos are similar, it is hard to see a difference, maybe only slightly. It is a shame these places have closed. Take care, enjoy your day!

  7. scrolling up and down between the two I couldn't notice the difference but when I opened it up and flipped back and forth between the two the second one is darker in places. Nicely done.

  9. An interesting perspective. Can't see much difference but the first one may be a little sharper.

  10. It's a cool shot either way but sad too. Can you imagine how many places are just sitting empty like that *sigh*

  11. I'm probably trying too hard, but can't see much difference between #1 and #2. Maybe my subconscious, but #1 is my favorite.
Before reading what it was, I was calling that, "After last call", imagining the tales those stools might tell.

  14. I didn't look for a difference because I liked the original the best. It has a warmth the other two are lacking.

  16. I feel so sorry for all the businesses that have closed. It's truly a shame that peoples' dreams have been shattered.
Old diners and soda fountains are so cool.
I remember visiting several in MO. way back in 2001.
So much fun sitting on the stools and being served "Dusty Millers" while we sat and watched. Ahhh, such a fun memory from the past.

  17. I think one was sharper than the other, but now I can't remember which one. My memory is getting shorter by the day!

  18. Dear Sandra, like Ginny I have looked and looked and can't see any difference between your photos. But unlike Ginny. I prefer your two edited versions to the one straight out the camera. Here's hoping all well with you, Bob and Big. Jo

  19. It's a neat photo to start off with. I like the edited version, particularly the first image. The lighting seems brighter in it and the stool tops show up better. It has a nice nostalgic look to it.
