MoJo Down..

I took these last week to show Ginny what I wear at home.
Gowns are my choice, always have been. This one goes almost to the ankles.

My smile still lurks, if I wave my hand,
but my brain is not working on my command.
I have lost my humor, oh where has it gone
I sit in the house, fretting at life, as though its a bone.
I love creating and posting,  to make you laugh.
Sadly I think I may need a raft
to keep me afloat as I wait for my MoJo to return
Until then to your posts and comments I will turn
to lift me up, and make me smile
I may be missing off and on for awhile.
If I don't show up every day,
Just know I will return on another day.

  1. You just need a short break, then you will be fine! I like this gown, it is so pretty and colorful, not like the old lady ones you see. I bet in Florida, you need lots of these!

  2. I love the pink gown - very pretty and cool looking - the color is bright. I am sorry your mojo is down - I get like that too. Hope it comes back soon.

  3. There is a lot to be down about, unfortunately. I have cabin fever and plan on getting out and about this week no matter what our weather is like here on the coast of Maine. 💖

I have a couple of kaftan-style gowns that I like to wear around the Hutch - so easy breezy.

Yeah, it's a little hard to keep 'up' in these strange days. I do hope this week goes quietly by for you all over there; one can only pray. YAM xx

  7. Good for you with dressing up. Sometimes I too feel like wearing some brighter clothes just to cheer myself up. Take care and enjoy your blog break.

  8. It's been a tough year for us all. I love the color of your gown Sandra. Perfect, warm, color to match your personality.

Sometimes, if you don't feel like comedy...nothing wrong with that. Just be you. And yes come visit us & you will be lifted in spirit & maybe it will help get your mojo to return. I have a red rose for you on my blog!

  10. Hello Sandra,

You look so pretty! I think we all feel the same way.
I am cutting back on my post too. We will be waiting to see your mojo return.
Take care, wishing you a happy day and a great new week!

  11. I like the gown. I haven't worn one in a very very very long time.
I am without mojo too. Anni suggested on my blog that we could maybe find it in a store somewhere. I'll look when I'm out and if I find a supply of it I'll ship some to you.

  12. I surely understand in these days of staying home and it being cold we have to pick and choose days we can go out so I can channel my inner MadSnapper.
    Hang in there.
Bryan is getting his first C19 vaccine at 10 am today. There will be no photos though. Instructions said come alone. I'll ride with him. I'll take my camera because we are going to a different part of our County. I might see something photo worthy.
    More on that later
    Hugs Cecilia

  13. I was wondering where you were yesterday. It always seems so quiet on blogs without your posts and comments. Of course I wear the same kind of thing at home. I think we could definitely share wardrobes!

  14. Your colourful outfit really suits you Sandra. I'm sorry you've lost your mojo, don't worry it will return, when your rested. Taking a break from blogging could help. We all love our posts, but your well being comes first, and we understand.

  15. Ya, yesterday felt incomplete with no MadSnapper. Kept reassuring myself that you'd have posted an APB if Something Bad had occurred.
I think there's lots of us in the same boat. But there's sure nothing wrong with your brain to pen these clever poems.

BTW, I love your gown's color! I may segue to something like that once our weather warms up. (Right now I'm living in leggings and oversize hoodies.)

  16. I have felt like running away lately but of course that's not practical in a pandemic. I think we are all going a little crazy with the restrictions. I feel like if I can just get through this week....!!! Lots of hugs!

  17. You look like a summery Floridian in your gown. I only wear jeans. Men's jeans because I'm tall and they fit me better. So many of us are having a difficult time. Please don't feel you have to post all the time. Maybe just read some of what your friends are posting. I posted a donkey today, hoping he would cheer my friends up a bit. I know you saw him. I wasn't sure, should I post him today or wait until this week is over. Then I decided that donkey love is needed right now.
Hug your Beau, he's so adorable.

  18. There's nothing wrong with taking a break to regroup because you have been entertaining and informing fellow bloggers and need a rest. So go ahead and treat yourself, Sandra. Hopefully, you have time to finish all your discarding and reorganizing and have time to decide on a new PC. We had to replace Grenville's printer last week and you can recycle a non-working printer and some other electronics at Staples & Best Buy which re near us. There is a $25 discard fee at best Buy for TV monitors, go figure.

  19. Awww Sandra, I'm so sorry your MOJO is AWOL.
Like others have said..welcome to the club.
I keep telling myself "Take the High Road and this too shall pass"
Good luck continuing to purge and toss. It can be cathartic.
Ebay keeps Dave and I busy. I think it's the variety of things that helps us stay more fresh.
    Take care my Friend
    I Care!!!

  23. I have been on the verge of totally quitting blogging two or three times. Life has just been hard of late. I will think this is it...I am quitting. Then I think what would I do otherwise? I would have no one to share stuff with.

  25. Your dress is very pretty. I like that color red. Good to take a break sometimes, a change is as good as a rest.
