I mentioned in a prior post, with a lantern and Christmas poinsettias, that I tried to do a selfie of my elbow and could not. I felt challenged by this comment.

It’s your blog, your pictures, your choice. You just show whatever you want. Even a lamp swinging from your elbow if you can manage it!
Yes, I realize there is not visible elbow, and I do hope all of you KNOW I would never, ever, never show my WINGS that hang under said elbow. Its a moot point because the flannel gown is what I have on when I go out after dark , with the lamp hanging on my elbow to follow Beau from pee spot to pee spot.
Pun intended.....My arms are lovely, but that elbow--it's definitely... ...a site for psoriasis
Life is like an elbow—you’ve got to bend with it or you’ll snap!
Truly one of the stranger things I have ever seen on a blog. But you are so inventive! This is a great trick for going out with Beau!
ReplyDeleteYes, a great idea, and great blog fodder!
ReplyDeleteI love the lamp and hanging it from your elbow is a great idea. I love your humor!

ReplyDeleteThat's a fab bit of kit - and excellently displayed. Great exit line! YAM xx
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI love the lantern and I like your quote, life is like an elbow.
Take care, have a great day and a happy new week.
That's a clever way to carry the lamp. My hands have become weak from Arthur Itis. 🤣 (One of my Grandma's used to say it like that.) When in a situation where I need to carry a light I've been using a head lamp like one has for camping. Works like a charm too. 💡
ReplyDeleteI am SO lovin' this warmer weather! Hope that winter skedaddles back North again and stays there. I'm ready for flowers, sunshine and balmy days.
Have a blessed Sunday!
Love 🌻
You have been so inventive with this. We are impressed with your ingenuity and dexterity, and in the process get a glimpse of your armpit and high fashion attire. Such an accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteYou just never know where inspiration for a blog post is going to come from. A handy place to hang the lantern while you walk with Beau. Plus it keeps your hands free for taking pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou did it! And you're creative in carrying the lamp that way, keeps your hands free.
ReplyDeleteClever way to carry your lantern. Our elbows are good for a lot of things...we just have to be a little creative in using them and this is exactly what you have done. One thing that I enjoy about blogging is that everyday brings a new thought that I can post about...
ReplyDelete"Life is like an elbow ..." I love that bit of wisdom so much. (Better than Forrest Gump's box of chocolates.) I'm going to copy that for my Treasure box.
ReplyDeleteBOL BOL MS another fun post.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are over the effects of your procedure and back to eating.
Hugs Cecilia
HAHAHA-Nothing like bat wings--now if we could only fly.....xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLife is like an elbow, I so agree. One of mine is broken, but the other one works great, sort of like life, you lose some, you win some.
ReplyDelete'Life is like an elbow' - much food for thought there! 😁
ReplyDeleteHave to admit that trying an elbow selfie has never occurred to me. But then I also so far never had a reason to be out in the dark carrying a lantern...
ReplyDeleteWell, you really got our attention with this one! LOL. I love it. We just never know what you will think up next! I love the flannel gown best of all! It looks like a nice soft and comfy gown. And do you really wear it outside to walk Beau? Why not? It certainly covers everything, especially those bat wings! LOL. I know all about those! I used to direct the choir in church many years ago, and people would get to laughing at my bat wings flapping in the breeze as I directed the music so much that I had start wearing long sleeves! LOL. (that choid didn't wear choir robes, but now I understand why they should!) LOL. This was fun. You made us all smile!
ReplyDeleteSandra, you always have an interesting post - lol!
ReplyDeleteSo you got the photo which is nice. Glad you can walk around with Beau in the yard at night with the lamp. I too have wings and never show them. I also wear a lot of long sleeves because of my bruises.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I read this and come to the word moot...I think of Joey on friends...explaining it...in his fashion. Too lazy to look up how I make a link...but copy and past this:

ReplyDeleteThat is a cool idea to take such an unusual 'Selfie'!
My elbow on the left is unbendable right now...it might hold a lantern pretty well...but...well you can't see m=y elbow at all, its =covered wt]ith the cast I have now for the nesxt 6 weeeks or so till my wrist bones are healed... i did the unthinkable and sat down a little too hard on the ice I Was trying to salt so hubby wouldn't fall...sigh...
