Butterflies are FREE

 While Merrily Madly Snapping the passion flower, this butterfly lifted up from the other side of the fence right in front of my camera, flitting fast and hard to catch. (note: we found what happened to all the buds. ANTS big ones. we had 4 new buds and they are black with ants, bye bye ants, Bobby Appleseed is headed your way)


What do moths learn in school?  MOTHMATICS

What do you get if you cross a firefly and a moth ?
An insect who can find its way around a dark wardrobe !

How do stones stop moths eating your clothes ?
Because rolling stones gather no moths !


Clinging to a Curly Cue, hang in there Mommy
What is a myth ?
A female moth !
Why did the moth nibble a hole in the carpet ?
He wanted to see the floor show !

A mammoth !

    I love your photos of the passion flower vine and the butterfly, that would look great printed.

    Glad you solved the problem of the missing buds. I like and will tolerate most insects except ants.

    When we first moved to our present home more than four decades agothere was a passion flower vine blooming like crazy on the fence. I must not have taken appropriate care of it because one season it was gone!.

    There are a lot of Monarch butterflies around this year. I heard that it's a good sign--of what, I don't know.

    Yahoo, at least you know now what is eating your flowers. MAN, you have some hungry ants to eat like that.
    NOW that was a photo shoot and more. The butterfly in all its glory doing tricks for you and being a ham about it hanging from the tentacle. Could not be more perfect than that.

    Gotta love a butterfly that wants to be photographed!

    The passionflower looks so huge. I have a passionflower blooming in my sunroom at the moment...but the blossoms look much smaller.

    Ants, yuck, I hate them. I have to deal with them every year on my peonies. At least they are supposed to be there though.

    Hubby just said from the other room "you cooking something"..smells like somethings burning" It WAS out cereal!! Yikes..well, these are just the prettiest images with the butterfly and purple passion! I'm so glad you found out who the culprits were!! We just had to take care of that problem as well. They can be so devastating.

    Well I love those snaps and your humour too. The answers set in a reddish font were hard for me to read though. I guess one day I'll learn a trick to optimize colours my vision.
