Macro Manual 1

I took these with the new Rebel set on M for Manual (M stands fro Mind Blowing)
Trying to blur part of the photo and sharp on the other
It seems while I am focusing on focusing I forget to COMPOSE the shot... Practice still needed

How did I do folks?

  13. Well, the last pictures shows that it's almost nothing much, but all your other shots made it something extraordinary!! I'm guessing it was the angle and the camera. I was trying to guess what it was. It looks like a wood flower! That's right, it looks like wood growing out of a rosette of leaves!!! If this is your practice session, I can't WAIT till you start getting serious!!!

  14. O.K. now that I look back at it, I can clearly see what it is and how you shot it, and it is a live leaf and a dead one, but it still looked like some kind of blooming petrified plant at first!

  17. I think you're doing a marvelous job with the Manual setting. I usually forget at least one thing when using that setting. You're a quick learner, and I like these photos.

  25. I think you are doing great. That's an understatement from someone who just can't get the hang of depth of field. Manual terrifies me. Keep up the good work - I love it!
