Flat Caleb and Nana Lola

My friend Lola is assisting her grandson, Caleb in a school project based on  Flat Stanley. I had never heard of flat Stanley, and if you have not click on that link and read all about it.
Flat Caleb was created in school by Real Caleb and then Flat Caleb traveled here to Florida from Alabama via Branson, Missouri    ALL PHOTOS TODAY TAKEN BY FLAT CALEB'S NANA
This is Flat Caleb and Caleb's mission from his 2nd grade teacher, is to present a report in January of 2012 on the adventures of Flat Caleb, where he has traveled and what he has seen.
Flat Caleb has been photographed by Caleb's Nana Lola in many exotic places. Fron very imaginative Sand Sculptures to Umbrellas on the beach

Can you find the bug in Flat Calebs visit to the bush here in Florida, if so what is it?
Flat Caleb visited Branson Missouri with Nana a few weeks ago
And then Flat Caleb went to the Chalk Art Festival in Sarasota.... He is now on his way to Australia with one of Nana's friends.
Caleb will have a wonderful report in January.... Flat Caleb is more traveled than I am  for sure.

  1. It looks like flat Caleb is really getting around. I hope he enjoyed those sand sculptures as much as I enjoyed seeing them. I see him admiring the pretty praying mantis.

I didn't know about Flat Stanley but I have run across Flat Fred and several others.

  3. I've never heard of this project - I love it though - when teachers let kids do something so creative.

And you know what - he traveled more than I did! Lucky guy!

  10. I absolutely love Flat Stanley and Flat Stacy. Flat Stacy came to us from a grand-niece in Colorado when I still worked at the donkey rescue, so she got to meet the donkeys and all the reptiles and also visit the gift shop. Her visit here was a great success. I love the pictures above and I'm glad I stopped by. You and I visit the same blogs so I wanted to visit you here.

  12. I've seen a similar project before in the blog world, that was when I was quite new as a blogger. Took me a while at first to figure out what it was about. There was this toy elephant that appeared in all sorts of context on one blog for a while. Then, if memory serves me right, it turned up on another blog. Gradually it dawned on me that it was sent on between bloggers. The 'flat' version is probably cheaper to send on by mail, though!

  13. I have never heard of this, but it is so cool, and I DO see the praying mantis, though it took me awhile! I think I will show Ella and see if she can find it, she likes things like this. It reminds me of that little Travelocity yard gnome on T.V. commercials!!

  14. Hi Sandra, I've heard of Flat Stanley.. In fact some bloggers are passing him around (in a meme) all over the world...

Sounds like Caleb will have a great report --and that Flat Caleb will be well-traveled when it's all over.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  16. wow, Flat Caleb is having one awesome adventure. I'm surprised he isn't the least bit afraid of that praying mantis considering how large it is next to him
