I looked these up and I think they are pink Hollyhocks. they are towering over the driveway of a home not to far from us.
Althaea rosea Pink Hollyhocks is what I found...here on The Garden Pages the thing is they have been blooming like this for at least 2 months maybe more.
So pretty, Sandra... I have always loved Hollyhocks. Those are the prettiest colors... Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteYep, they're hollyhocks but they seem to be some ruffled variety. One of my favorite flowers. With the amount of buds on them I'll bet they'll keep blooming for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so gorgeous. How cool that are nearby.
ReplyDeleteWowzers those are beautiful. I think it will be quiet a while before I see any flowers blooming outside.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Yes, they are Hollyhocks, and fancy fringed ones! The hollyhocks around here have these shiny gold beetles with long noses like an elephant's trunk. I call them goldbugs. These are gorgeous!! Ours will not bloom till summer.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I haven't thought about Hollyhocks in years. My dad raised them on the east side of the garage. Wonder if they are still there? Thanks for the memory!
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! They are beautiful ... LOVE the color. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteOh, these are gorgeous...I have a picture of one this color. I have a friend whose husband has really pink, pink hollyhocks planted all around their fuel tank.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty! I would love to have some in my yard! I think I will write the name down to remember. :) You took some great close-ups!
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely. Can't wait to see some colours like that around here again... (I'll have to wait a while longer though)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite memories as a little girl at Granma's---standing and looking up at the Hollyhocks in the morning sun--love them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the color!
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of the little buds about to burst. Well I do love them all. You always find the most interesting things to show us.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Love the close-ups of the frilly looking hollyhocks. They must be a cheerful sight to see along your way and they are certainly flourishing there.
ReplyDeleteHollyhocks remind me of days long gone and pick fences. You are so fortunate to live around such beautiful color and interesting birds and critters.
