Guessing Game

Can anyone guess what seeds hubby planted in this little dish? He called me over and said LOOK!

I said; Did you stop and steal borrow pick a seed pod off the __________?

Bob said YES, I did...... do you know what they are? Not the rose moss below, think back a couple of weeks.... are you ready?

meet our Baby Hollyhocks..... Click on Hollyhocks up close and personal  if you have forgotten what they look like.

I

I AM THRILLED over these seedlings and over the big pot of moss rose that has a few blooms.

  1. The Hollyhocks look terrific on the previous post. That is great when seeds germinate. I planted some spinach seeds and only one pushed its head out of the dirt. The moss roses look lovely too.

  14. These are beautiful and sweet, but to me I can't see how they are Hollyhocks. We have lots around here, and I also looked at your link with the pretty frilly ones. SO, are they a special miniature kind??? Are they tiny babies? I don't think they will grow bigger because with the big ones, they have to get real big to bloom...I need to know MORE!! I think I have seen similar flowers and did not know what they were...

  24. Alright, Bobby Appleseed strikes again. It is hard to tell what they are when they are that tiny. The Hollyhocks will be gorgeous when they grow up.

I have one of their more weedy relatives trying to take over my yard. It started out as a plant in the garden and now it wants to grow everywhere. If it was that pretty I might let it.

As you know, I love the moss rose. I , for sure, will be growing them again this year. Everytime I looked at them, I thought of you, Sandra. This year, your color is outstanding. I wonder what color that is?
