Flowers and Frogs, OH MY

Our lovely Dwarf Powder puff is in full bloom, and the rain barrel behind it is full to the top... peaceful looking, right?
Photo Shop used here to add frogs but they look just like this Enlarge to see the frogs
Well, these guys climb over there and wait until DARK and sit there and screech/scream/squawk all night long. Behind the flowers is our bedroom window, a short 25 inches from barrel to bed.

Picture MadSpapper, broom in hand at midnight, ready to bash him/her... NOPE! to cute, can't do it. but I do poke them to make the hop away.

if you have time, these 3 sounds are what we hear in the DARK... we have 3 different types of frogs.

TREE FROG ONE          TREE FROG TWO      TREE FROG THREE    AND IF YOU CAN'T PLAY

THESE GO HERE AND LISTEN. I HAD A GOOD TIME  PLAYING WITH THE CALLS and if you have even MORE time, there are tons of  frog pics in the label below that says??? Frogs... LOL

  1. Love tree frogs! Sounds #s 1 and 3 sound familiar to me. I think that's what we have here. Never heard the #2 sound before. Sounds like a frog band. The tree frogs were what kept me awake night before last until near dawn when the robins kicked in with their song.

  2. Pretty. I love listening to the frogs at night. They aren't that close to our house so it's a more distant sound.

  3. I have to admit, frogs are not really my favorite. But these ones seem kind of cute!
    Happy Friday Sandra!

  7. Glad you don't squish the frogs. Although I have tried to eat them once or twice. Yuck! But toads are worse. We wish we could have rain barrels, but for some weird reason the laws does not allow it.

  12. I guess it would depend on my mood whether the sound was irritating or not....

  13. Love the tree frog calls but I think the 2nd one would drive me nuts after a while.
They do have a comforting sound but probably not under my bedroom window.
Love your little photoshop froggies on the branch.
    Too, too clever Sandra.

  15. Love the Photoshop frogs in sequence, especially the last night-time one. I'm not sure that we would like a frog chorus outside our bedroom window either. I like the sound of crickets on warm Summer evenings in Italy. They do send you to sleep.

    Happy Mother's Day to you.

  18. Tree frog two sounds like a four man band!!! And all together they must sound like an orchestra! No, make that a hard rock band. No, make that a heavy metal band. When you get out of bed and poke them, do they stay away for the night? These little frogs you added are beyond cute and you put them in just the right places. A really beautiful Friday post, with just a bit of fun and adorableness thrown in.

  23. No frogs here, except the inanimate ones in the yard. But, we do have robins who start chirping at 5:30 am daily. Wanna trade?

  24. Aw, the little PS frogs are so cute but the Dwarf Powder Puff is beautiful. When we are out on our patio at night we hear the tree frogs and the crickets. I rather like the sound. Fortunately they are not under our bedroom window.

  25. Love those frogs. While I am happy to listen to their song or take their picture I would not be pleased to have them interrupting my sleep.
