In our backyard, here in the sub-tropics, we know it is fall because the banana tree starts to do wild and colorful things... The variegated bush in front of it stays the same year round, the banana tree stays green, but in the month of October, the bottom leaves start to change colors.

Laughing over Madi's (love that cat) question? If you had a cow for milk and a Cheerio bush you would have all you need for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought the brown leaves of the banana plant look like leather. I wonder if I could grow one in a big pot on my patio?
I like the way the banana leaves age and dry.
