Murphy's (Sandra's) Law

if anything can happen it probably will happen

Can a husband create a second Apricot Preserve bomb by dropping the
the new jar of Preserves I bought to replace the preserve bomb from last week? Can one house have two preserve bombs in one week?
"Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong".

Can a husband pick up the jar top with jagged edges and drop in bottom of plastic trash can liner?
Can a wife pick up said trash can liner a few days later and the glass cuts through the bag and glass and coffee grounds fall on the floor?
Anything that can possibly go wrong, does.[

Can Glass come out of the end of the Dirt Devil while trying to vacuum glass and coffee grounds up off kitchen floor?

Can the light bulb burn out in your desk lamp you have had forever and the store no longer carries that bulb? Can you special order the bulb and it will cost more than buying a new lamp?

Can a fork place the last bite of Lasagna in your mouth and flip up into the air as you lay it on you plate and come down in your lap while you are wearing white pants eating in a  MALL where the walk is half a mile to the car?

everything that can go wrong will go wrong.

Yes, Virginia, Lightning can and will strike the same thing twice. Did you know that if you move from the long line you are in at the cashier to the short one, the long one will move faster than the short?

Did you know in traffic if the lane you are  in is not moving and the other lane is moving, if you move over to the moving lane, it will quickly stop moving and the one you were in will move faster?

Murphy's Sandra's Law... did I prove my case?

  19. I am so sorry that law seems to be hanging around your place. It comes here now and then too. I am still finding glass slivers from when I broke a coffee mug almost 2 weeks ago. Since it is your blog I won't go in to all else that happened. Hoping for better days ahead sweet Sandra. Hugs

  20. I thought Murphy's Law had been written to describe my situations, but I yield to your experiences. Reading this post made me feel that I have led a charmed life.

  21. I am going to guess YES to all of your questions, mostly because at one time or another most of those have happened to me too.

The lamp looks like the one on hubby's desk. I replaced the old bulb with one of the new energy saving bulbs (can't remember the initials).

  23. I know these little mishaps can be annoying BUT, as a friend of mine used to say..."its not a lion or a tiger, your not going to be eaten." Its amazing though how one wrong thing can set off a domino effect, with other things happening. One day you will laugh about it. xx

  24. I was aware of these laws but that doesn't make them any easier to take. I hope this didn't all happen in one day.

  25. Oh dear! Sounds like life is not going as smoothly for you as you had hoped. But I did laugh. Please forgive me.

About that lamp. Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago.

But so far, I have not had a jam bomb in my kitchen. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it won't happen.
