has anyone tried to customize the blog in Template, my background doesn't show and i get this error on all three blogs and both computers. just started this morning.
UPDATE: by searching the error Isexperimental, I found the fix. if you signed up for blogger draft years ago , you might get it. below is the fix. it works, mine is on.
Go to settings on dashboard, under general and unclick draft by default icon. Save

i haven't changed my template in almost a year, i think. sorry. can't help or commiserate!
ReplyDeleteI haven't posted since yesterday and my template hasn't been changed in a while. I hope you get your stuff back. I know it can be maddening to deal with such things.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I never signed up for draft! I never could figure out what is was, despite people telling me. But leave it to you to find a fix, you ARE the Blog Guru of Computerland!

Sometimes blogger just backs up, I think you should wait a bit for them to fix that technical error.

I haven't had any problems when I played with templates recently. But I never used draft. You know me, the less I know.....
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me though that it seems like the more recent additions to the blogs can do more stuff with theirs, for example, answer comments, than I can't do with mine. Or am I missing something again?

I have to go another way and I am telling you I had to figure it out myself. You would never in a million years to go there.

I had where I could not even do what you did neither two weeks ago. It frozed.
I dislike this block system. To do a change.
Changing my blog up is a big major headache.. I do ok with headers, but backgrounds, not so much.

ReplyDeleteYou know I don't know. I used to change my background every month for the different holidays and seasons. I haven't changed it in such a long time because of the new template thing they forced on us awhile back that I couldn't do it as easy as I used to.
ReplyDeleteI changed my blog layout and template last spring. I don't ever think I will do it again. I would like a wider blog, but when I tried it all my previous posts looked funny. I think I'm staying with the same old look!
ReplyDeleteI made changes to the template not long ago but went over to check, no problems. For a while Blogger was hiding some of my posts for a few hours, they would only show up for a few bloggers. I have noticed a few others who post at the same time each day aren't showing up until later.

Sandra..well..I read your post and though I have not tried to do anything but just post...at the end I said "huh??" I am so ignorant about all of it and am scared of my own shadow and that I might lose my blog. I am afraid to try ANYTHING!

AH, Blogger was playing with my "mind" over the weekend too. Luckily for me. I was barely home and had pre-posted entries for a few days.

ReplyDeleteThanks fvor doing the homework on this problem, Sandra. While I haven't had this one, my problem with blogger is that even though you are offered options under the Simple template which I recently switched to, they do NOT work...for example changing the colors and font styles.
