Powder Puff Tree

Our self decorating tree is busy this week putting out it's fluffy decorations. they start out as tiny buds the size of a BB and end up as big as the palm of my hand.
The bottom middle of the above collage had 19 buds on the tip of it. It's a little late this year because of our unseasonable warmth.

To view the whole bush click on Twas The Day After Christmas

The limbs like the one below, are 6 to 8 feet long and hang down with the tips covered in brilliant red balls.
Ready for the season with no help from me.

  12. They are the most amazing blooms and the timing is perfect for the holiday. It must be like having a decorated Christmas tree in your yard. All you need to do is add some lights.

  17. Absolutely beautiful.

Is it tropical? I would like seeds to see if I could get them to grow with lots of mulch.
