Above is the corner of the car park and the bank building across from the Hampton Inn Hotel and the other corner of the car park. For a view of the Hotel before the remodel CLICK HERE... the old hotel has been there all my life and was called the Pink Palace...Al Capone once slept there.
Sidewalk cafe and inside are all the business listed on the above sign.

This all looks so big and airy compared to our town that is so crowded. It looks beautiful.

ReplyDeleteAhhhh...Palm trees and sunshine in the morning!!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteGlad to see there is a Hampton Inn right downtown as this chain has become our favorite lodgings. And the downtown does look like it will be a great place to explore. We have no downtown here, so anyplace that does is really exciting!
ReplyDeleteYour downtown is way, WAY bigger than mine. :))
ReplyDeleteNo high-rises! Parking spaces! Wow!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Your downtown is very impressive!
ReplyDeletehmmm...well, the remodel looks nice, but I kinda like the old pink look! :-)
ReplyDeletepalm trees and blue sky to offset the buildings. nice!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks pretty and clean. Beautiful buildings and interesting little boutiques.
ReplyDeleteOh I'd love to sit at the outside cafe sipping coffee while people watching.

Beautiful!! Looks like beautiful weather as well! I didn't know you have lived there all your life! But then - there's a lot of things I DON'T know!!! Happy Saturday!!!
ReplyDeleteLike looks like a nice place to visit.
ReplyDeleteVery tropial, even the Banks name !
ReplyDeleteAlthough the buildings in your downtown are very beautiful, I'm most impressed with the sunshine and blue skies.
ReplyDeleteWhen I visited your other post it looks like there might have been some doubt that the Hampton Hotel would happen. I'm glad to see that beautiful old building has new life. I see some businesses on that sign that I would like to explore.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your photos of downtown Sandra. Interesting about Al Capone.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty and nice downtown. It looks so clean and the trees are gorgeous. Very nice pictures. Hugs
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue skies and buildings, really like the Latte's sign :) my favourite coffee and it should be nice and creamy too.
ReplyDeleteThat Capone really got around. A 3-story villa or castle on a bayou here also repotedly had a Capone history. The house on a hill overlooking the bayou was picturesque but no one bought it and restored it. Gone now and the property dedicated to McMansions.
ReplyDeletelooks so sunny and warm....great shots...
ReplyDeleteI like that coffee board - too pretty!
