Bob came out of the backyard jungle holding this in his fingers like this and yelling ....
"look It's a scorpion!"
I yelled "What? a SCORPION? In our yard?"
From across the pool, it did look like a scorpion..
But Bob loves me so much, one day he put on a cologne that smells like a computer.-
Seems that is the only way to get my attention these days... that and a fake scorpion

ReplyDeletewell that will get your attention...I remember growing up we always checked our shoes before putting them on...that's where they liked to hide...my brother got stung by one on his big toe...he was running around the house yelling I'm dead Ima dying...I'm dead Ima dying...my Mom had to tackle him to find out what was wrong...then he told her a scorpion got his big toe...that goodness it just got red and swole up...my brother thought he was gonna die..he was 6 or 7...

ReplyDeleteBob is such a card. Maybe from across the pool but otherwise it could be stretching it a bit. Scorpions are sneaky, they like to hide in dark places, under rocks and in shoes. Fortunately I've only run across small ones.
