fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Beautiful, ornamental THORNY bush.....the flowers are actually leaves on the tip of the limbs that turn this beautiful bright pink...
Our bougainvillea was out of control and this gorgeous bloom was blocking my sight when backing out of the driveway. He whacked it and brought it to me to play with..... AND I DID PLAY
Wow. What a vibrant and colorful bloom. These look exceptional. Especially against the bright background.

i love bougainvillea. wish it would grow all year here, but doesn't. just a tiny bit too cold in winter.
ReplyDeleteWow - that color really pops!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos of a pretty plant. One of my favorite Bible verses too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and words.....and you were surely the right person to play with it.
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff and mom
This is absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a green thumb.
I have house plants and I don't know how I manage to kill them in
a week.
I only add a wee bit of water as before I used to drown them with water love and they died in a day.
My mother could love her plants too and keep them and transplant them. I guess no green thumbs passed to me. Just gummy thumbs.
Such pretty colors - lovely!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful Sunday Sandra!

Oh my GOSH! We have both posted thorns today!!! This is a plant that I do not know and would never recognize. I know they are around here because I hear about them, but I have never come across one. Or if I did, I didn't know what it was. I don't remember you ever posting one before, but you probably did and I forgot. Do they have other colors? I can SEE that they are not flowers, but leaves, how COOL! And it is totally beautiful. You must thank Bob for me and give him a big hug! I adore your wonderful sweet, cute header! He looks either really hot or totally exhausted. Maybe he just had a round with Jake.
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty!! We have five of them in our yard...I always enjoy they colored brackets...but oooooh, when they dry up and become 'crepe paper' swirling around in the wind/grass....not so pretty. lol
ReplyDeleteps...that raccoon in your blog header is darling!!!
LOVE that color.... SO pretty... Reminds me of a photo I took today of our Rhododendron (which is beginning to bloom now and is about that color)....

ReplyDeleteThe bougainvillea is absolutely gorgeous in all versions. I wish it would grow here but it's too cold.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the cute critter in your new header. He looks like he's telling Jake and Baby they can't get him up that high.
I have a shirt that color...love it! I see the little bandit in your header, he looks like he's smiling!
