My last post on Friday, was a Fake
Putting Big inside was not to protect him, but to protect the snake. He was about 4 feet long. We have seen bigger but no photos. We like our Racers. This one was slow because it was cold and he was warming up. Once I started clicking he had warmed enough to race off to the fence where he lives. Don't worry, they don't bite, they race away from people.
Maybe I will become the MAD Snake Charmer...… I got about half the LIST Done Yay

You LIKE the snakes? And are not afraid of them. SO unlike you!!!
ReplyDeleteI’m catching up here....snakes are pretty amazing. We have the good, the bad and the ugly at the ranch. I’ve not had much interaction with any of them as of yet but I’m always watching....

ReplyDeleteI don't mind snakes - at a respectful distance. Having stood on a red-belly black snake in OZ and not getting bit for my attack, I can honestly say, it's not something I wish to repeat. YAM xx (who has purchased a small bluetooth keyboard for the YAMroid - which is making life on a tiny computer a little easier... but not by much as the keyboard ain't much bigger!)
You can have 'em!! I don't even like PICTURES of snakes. lol
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteCool photos of the Racer. I have never seen one in person. Snakes can be great to have around, they take care of the rodents. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and have a great new week ahead.
I cant say i like snakes like I like furry animals, but they sure serve a purpose.
ReplyDeleteWell if it would run away from me and not bite then I suppose I could live with it. Otherwise I don't like snakes. Pictures of them or with glass between us is fine though...lol
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh have you put a scary black racer story from long ago in my mind's eye. Thank goodness he was OUT SIDE. I would have heard MS shouting all the way up here

Great shots. I am not a huge lover of snakes, but would definitely take pictures when I have the chance.
ReplyDeleteI don't even like seeing pictures of snakes even if they don't bite!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm glad they don't bite we have Rattlers that do bite over in my neck of the desert. I'm not necessarily afraid of snakes unless we come across them when we are hiking or riding horses and only because they are rattlesnakes haha.

ReplyDeleteSnakes certainly aren't my favorite but I know the one like you saw is valuable for keeping the critter population down.
Great photos.
Glad you were just doing deep cleaning. I was concerned maybe something had happened.
Hope you have a good day...2 more oz. down and counting. Not much but makes me feel successful.
Okay you snake charmer - I don't like any kind of snakes - good ones or bad ones! Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind snakes..especially the garden variety!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful snake! Our racer snakes have racing stripes down their backs and are pretty too. And fast!
ReplyDeleteI like reptiles and this one is very pretty. Glad you protected it and put it in a safe place. I was once told they are great for the ecology. For one thing they keep the rodent population down, or so I heard.
