The Sunshine Made Me do it

I buy raw peanuts, blanch for 30 seconds, spread on cookie sheet, bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Great way to get protein and fiber.
As for why these photos'?  The Sunshine Made me do it.

USA, Guess what today is! and I HATE IT.
I will be grumpy for weeks..TIME CHANGED TODAY

the sunlight and pops of red are pretty. Great captures. I am not happy changing the clocks, I wish they would stop! Happy November! Take care, enjoy your day. Have a great new week!

  2. We voters tried to get Texas to NOT observe -daylight change. Didn't pass. I was so hoping it would.

  4. Great shots. I can't stand the time change either, it messes me up for weeks afterwards!

  5. It's nice you had that red thingy on the left to set off the other reds. You are SO creative. Some of us never get past "point and shoot", but that's OK. At least we can appreciate real talent when we see it.

  6. Beautiful! I'm so taken by that dear little peanut jar. (Wait, don't tell me ... was that once upon a time a jelly jar?) I need to try your blanching/baking trick on account I LOVE peanuts, but can no longer find the unsalted variety. Sodium is not my friend.

Apart from smooth peanut butter, I don't go near the things - but these are lovely photographic studies... (and I love your red toaster!!!) YAM xx

  8. Me again!
Remember that old Lesley Gore tune, "Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows?" How about, "Sunshine, peanut shells and 'maters"? :)

  11. I hate it too, big time! I love how the jar matches your cute red appliance. What is this red appliance...toaster, toaster oven? The nuts look real pretty in the jar too. I need to go out and buy a bunch of different jelly!

  12. The red is so cheery and yum on the peanuts.
I had to laugh at the last collage..I absolutely hate changing all the clocks. thank heavens for those that automatically change.
We voted to abolish the time change..it passed but the "Gov" said no and over ruled our choice..so much for people's choices and wants..
Sorry, it just makes me so darn mad..
    End of rant!!

  13. While I love the sunshine and the peanut idea, how or what did you use to create your collage of time???...:)jp

  14. WHo knew that even a simple jar of peanuts could be so pretty? Leave it to Sandra to see the beauty in the average.

  15. Almost all of our clocks are automatic, so that's not a big deal. I mostly don't pay attention to the clocks or the calendar unless I have an appointment. Call me blissfully clueless when I can get by with it.

  16. I love your shadows and light photos. Makes your peanut jar look elegant :) I was shocked just now to realize our clocks had turned back. I completely forgot all about it.

  17. Of course, the sunlight made you do it, Sandra, and why not? We changed all the clocks on Sat eve and it takes awhile to do that here since at last count there were over 15 which includes wall clocks, appliances and wrist watches. Glad the cell phones and PCs update themselves!

  23. Gave up peanuts after the colon cancer and. Now only eat a variety of raw nuts . Pea nut butter had to go too. Miss it but prefer to avoid cancer .
