How to Hog a Sofa/couch BeauSpeak

the best way to hog an entire 3-person sofa, is while hogging only 2 people's part, extend back feet and tail, lay with head in daddy's seat and voila, a one dog sofa...

Bonus Story Below

After my trip to the ER Vet, Mama said the VET said, no cheese. I always take my gabapentin in cheese, and Mama tried dipping it in peanut butter and I for once in my life chewed the capsule and it tasted Awful, so I refused to take it. She was giving 3 capsules a day in a small ball of ground round because
I was on rice and burger. Mama lives on Rice pasta, see below.

She pushed the capsules in the elbow and sometimes I swallowed and sometimes I tried to chew it.
Along Came Da Dad of Brian's Home Forever showing us a meds and feeding video.
After watching Dad put the food and meds in she decided to try it. She doesn't wrap me in a towel, but she gives me 4 pieces of pasta, the first two are just pasta, 3rd has capsule in it and 4th is just pasta. She cups her fingers in the 3rd and wipes on the roof of my mouth and I am so happy for pasta I just swallow it quickly so I can get the 4th... Thank You to Seal and Dad for the demo... If you don't follow or missed it, follow the link and watch how good Seal is, and how good DAD is.

ITS THANKFUL THURSDAY AT BRIAN'S HOME AND WE ARE THANKFUL FOR ANGEL BRIAN AND ALL HIS MANY SIBLINGS, BOTH ANGELS AND THE GANG BELOW

  4. Angel Brian's dad is a wise man! So glad that his method works for Beau!

I read about your sad experience with your colonoscopy...too bad the peeps at that place were not too concerned about your comfort level. How sad. And yes elderly peeps, even healthy ones can have strange reactions to drugs.I hope all your sore places are feeling better by now...and I am thankful that your results came back as a good report!

  11. You have a good mama and she does a great job of taking care of you. I like your idea of spreading out on the sofa. You look comfy and warm

  12. That's a splendid idea for giving our dogs med's. Bless his heart. I wish we could tell our animals that we understand how it's rough getting old and only want to help. Poor little guy.
    Love. 💓

  13. We give Laydee arthritis meds daily. Fortunately she likes green beans and we put the pill inside the bean and it works every time. We change it up. She also likes lettuce! Sometimes we use cheese or bread. Some dogs I’ve had in the past, are able to sniff out a pill no matter where we put it!

  16. I love this feeding trick! Putting elbows on my grocery list today.
Macie and Grace both loathe their Demarin capsules and the instructions specifically state, "Do not grind up." They won't take it in cheese, so I was putting it in their wet food until Grace decided she only wanted it if I plopped it on the tile floor. :(

  17. We're glad your mom found a way to give you your pills, Beau. Peanut butter on a plastic spoon (shaped like a wooden one) works for us. Our mom makes sure when she puts the spoon with the pill in our mouth that she sticks the peanut butter to the roof of our mouth, so we just lick it off and swallow.

  19. Beau, you deserve to have the full couch at least for part of the day. That is a great trick. Mom has a hard time with Tmber and pills because he is suspicious of everything new and different. We do the same as Terry showed you but with pb, or cheese, or ice cream. The LLB Gang get small pieces of pill pockets every day so that when they need meds their Mama can put it in a pill pocket and they gobble it up.

  20. Haha my dogs do the same thing! They love to lay out and take up the whole couch. I actually just had to have my upholstery cleaned to get rid off all the dog hair. I am sure they won't let that stop them from lounging on the couch haha!

  23. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! I think you left a little extra space on that couch, friend! Also, my gabapentin goes in pumpkin, but pretend not to notice. Also, my person does a similar trick with other medicines where I get a lick of something yummy and then another lick and then the pill is STUCK INSIDE the next lick and I try to spit it out but then the fourth and fifth licks wind up in my mouth and I swallow by accident. But the licks are very tasty. Keep taking your gabapentin, friend, it tastes yucky but feels good! Also, Happy Valentine's Day!
