The Lantern says, "Be a Light For All to See!"
Our simple smile can:
brighten someone's day .
Uplift and Inspire
instantly brighten someone's mood
offer a moment of joy
offer Connection and/or Kindness:
make others feel seen and valued.
break down barriers:
A smile on your face will have a Positive Ripple Effect, a chain reaction of love and kindness and it most certainly will give you, the Smile Giver, a feeling of self-care and well being.
Smiling can also have a positive impact on your own well-being, by reducing stress and promoting a sense of happiness.

I love you inside the globe! And I did not know that smiling helps us as well as others!
ReplyDeleteHurray for smiling! I do it a lot. Hopefully when I'm out and about and wearing a mask people can see it in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteWhen we are in a line awaiting a teller or a cashier, etc, I will smile at the one ahead or behind me and then that usually starts up some kind of a conversation. The other day, even the cashier joined in. SHe was multi-tasking, but it was a fun moment. We were chatting about the high prices on stuff...yup, very uplifting, LOL! But we were laughing together, total strangers having a good giggle, now that WAS uplifting.
ReplyDeleteI like the red lantern ... it would be the one we had if we had a sleep over in a tent outside... we could sit around it while telling scary stories ;o)
ReplyDeleteHari Om
ReplyDeleteHear! Hear! All should hear! And practice it... YAM xx
You did great copying the lantern and quote.
ReplyDeleteSmiles are contagious!
I like the photo of you and Beau!
Take care, enjoy your day!
A smile costs nothing and can make someone's day.
ReplyDeleteSmiles are highly underrated and should be used more often. Yesterday I went to visit a friend I hadn’t seen in a while and his grin lit up the room. I expect that mine did too.,
ReplyDeleteOh, this was great! Now I am smiling at you in the computer...that alien picture was a bit much, however...creepy! LOL. No, really it was funny. I love the smiley faces you made and Beau too! Smile, and the world smiles with you...frown, and you frown alone! Seems like I heard that somewhere! I love your red lantern too! Thank you for this morning exercise of smiling into the computer. That should help me smile more when I am facing the world today. Have a lovely, smile-filled day! God is with you all the day long! (and nighttime too!).
ReplyDeleteFun drawing! And it takes less effort to use smile muscle than it does to use the frowning ones!

I love your copycat. Very cool background with it.
ReplyDeleteAs for smiling, I totally agree. I apparently have a resting witch face though...lol Often when I've been working people would look at me and say "smile" I always told them I was smiling on the inside. I guess I have to be thinking about it to actually smile
I love your art and thoughts on smiling! A smile is an easy thing to give and can make a difference!
ReplyDeleteFor several reasons -- including a friend who's hours away from glory -- I needed to read your words this morning ... to see your smile. Can you see me smiling back?
ReplyDeleteI agree, smiling is viral ... let's start an epidemic.
Copying is said to be a very high form of flattery!!
ReplyDeleteSo copy on ...only alien I would want to see is ET loved that movie
Hugs Cecilia
You're very talented. Love it and you make the perfect alien.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to handsome Beau. ♥
What lovely smiles...I especially like the Alien LOL~
ReplyDeleteYou're creativity always makes me smile, S!
That is such a sweet post about what a smile can do for everyone. I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteHello Sandra:)
ReplyDeleteHave you ever smiled at a stranger who didn't smile back? Whilst out walking I thought that I would practise smiling at passers by, and for the most part people reacted positively with either a grin or a shy smile, even some with a surprised look, as if they were trying to remember if they knew me. I went into a shop to buy a bottle of water and smiled at another customer, she did not return the smile, which at first made me feel foolish, but later, on reflection I actually felt sorry for her.
Yes, I completely agree. Smiling makes you and others friendlier.
ReplyDeleteSending you a hug and a happy smile.
Viola
They say you can't give a smile away because you will get one right back.
ReplyDeleteYou did look like an alien! lol
Giggle on the aliens picture. I'm waiting to see what happens too..(:0)
ReplyDeleteLove that you are playing around with your blog again.
I like the subtle candle effect on your copycat drawing.
(((hugs))) to you this morning.
Sue
A lovely and inspirational post. If you turned up as an alien I would definitely give you a smile :) Love all your creativity again.
ReplyDeleteYour smile always brightens our day. We love that alien picture at the end. BOL!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your beautiful smile. Mom always tries to make eye contact as she passes people headed into the store or along our walks and give them a nice smile. Some smile back, others just keep on their way. But it is still a lovely thing to do.

Such a fun post and you made me smile twice today!
ReplyDeleteI love it when you both do your art work. Both are just great. You have a very nice smile by the way.
ReplyDeleteThat is a WONDERFUL smile on your pretty face with the pup. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI had never thought about the fact that a smile is a smile no matter where you are.
