Meet my new LAMPER
I know this LAMPER is mine because a Walmart delivery person sat it on the front porch this week and left it filled with my grocery order. I know its mine because it came with my name on it. Also, I know I ordered it. Now I ponder, would it be a Glamper if they had put a few rhinestones on it?

| Made in USA, Women Owned, Part basket, part hamper, I don't get the Lamper name, and if you do please advise. I really don't care if its owned by women and I would take bets that the factory is not manned by women making the hamper/lamper . Further more 😁😁 just who are they sending to hold this thing while I fold? If sending someone I want them to do the folding and I will hold it. Or sit it down and go sit myself down with a book. Please for those of you who speak French, tell me what it says and why it's on a label of a basket made in the USA owned by women. Are the women in France but they came to USA to make a LAMPER? I ordered it because mine broke into pieces, its black and will not show dirt like the white one I had, I do have enough memory left to know how to use it. FOR NOW. while typing this mumbo/ jumbo, it occurred to me to ask AI if Troy MI is close to Canada and was told its only a 20 minute drive to the border, so there, now I know. I could go on and on but by now you are either asleep from boredom or Gone Baby Gone. |
I can think of a million uses for this. It is made in the U.S.A. so why the French is a mystery!

ReplyDeleteI believe the French and Spanish versions of the english part basket part hamper are because the company has business over both north and south borders (Canada having French as second language and Mexico... well...) I would also be inclined to think that if a company is owned by women, it most likely employs women, too. It looks like an official logo so may be researchable... YAM xx

ReplyDeleteThanks for the research, YAM. I am amazed that anyone is surprised at the addition of languages other than English. If you make a product and hope to sell it in countries where other than English is spoken you will need to add the appropriate translation. Here in Canada nothing is sold without English and French on it and that opens up the possibility of new markets. The United States is effectively a bilingual country anyway, whether official or not. Spanish is spoken across wide swathes of the country, and how often do we hear about politicians pursuing the Hispanic vote? Only you, Sandra, could instigate this lively discussion over a new hamper! Offhand, I can’t think of a French or Spanish word for lamper!

I have never heard of this. However, I like that it is made in USA and a woman owned business. I am sure the other languages are due to where it is sold.
