Early June, my friend Jo, emailed and asked if Hubby
A.K.A. Bobby Appleseed would like seeds that would grow purple flowers. She said she did not know what they were but the plant get's tall and has beautiful purple flowers. I said sure mail them to me. A week later she called and said she would be in town the next day and would bring the flowers. She showed up with pot with 7 tiny plants, each about 2 inches high. Master Appleseed planted one in the bucket garden and with in 3 weeks it was the size in above photo.
Above is the little pot the 7 plants came in and another week tall on the bucket garden. Fast growing plant

Well, anything that Bobby Appleseed plants is going to grow fast and huge.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this in full bloom. I think I recognize this flower. If it is Angel's Trumpet it is a dangerous beauty.
Hehe! I'm sure they truly are beautiful when they open up. :))
ReplyDeleteSandra, of course we all will be waiting for the revealing!
ReplyDeleteI think Bobby Appleseed and my mother would have made a good team. She could grow a tree from a twig!
ReplyDeleteI did not inherit her talent!
Best,
Bonnie
Cool plant can't wait for the final photos to see the bloom open.
ReplyDeleteThis is just like my soap opera -- keeps me coming back for more! Can't wait to see!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh no!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a plant that eat's Humans. I agree with Squirrel Queen You are going to be eaten. No more Madsnapper blog. If it gets in the sewer the whole city is doomed. You won't be around to collect royalties from the movie they'll make, "coming to a theater near you" soon. LOL, Ha Ha Ha.
Turn back now before it's to late.
The mystery continues!
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT!!!! Have you identified them yet? I know they will not stay ugly, they will be beautiful!! I can tell it already. So far, I don't have a clue what they are! I do have several flower I.D. books, though.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have me curious. Perhaps these are 'Ugly Duckling' flowers.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, We have been gone all day --so I'm WAY behind!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what your mystery plant is ---but, like George, I am curious!!!!! Can't wait to read MORE...
Hope it doesn't grow up to eat your house!!!! ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
the suspense is killing me. I wish I could get things to grow like Bobby Appleseed does. I managed to kill every one of those tomato and pepper plants that I started from seed. It was a good thing Wade insisted on buying plants...lol
ReplyDeletecool
ReplyDeleteI will stay tuned..I think the seventh one down might look good in sepia or mono too-
ReplyDeleteOkay as usual - Chatty has NO idea what they are!
ReplyDeleteI love this progression of the purple whatever? A mystery it is
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra! Well, I don't know what kind of plant this is, but I'm sure curious to see what this turns out to be!
