What Was I thinking?

Last week I decided to take 48 hours off the computer, I put myself in Time Out, NO COMPUTER. I will not turn it on for the next two DAYS!
What Was I thinking?
Day ONE Early AM can't  blog, can't comment, can't email, NO google and the question was What To Do?
I went into Cleaning Mode, mopped floors, cleaned glass nook, cleaned windows, scrubbed cabinets and cleaned two leathers sofas.  Forgot the 4 loads of laundry while doing all this.

Done! Now What? it is only 10 AM... I go out to the pool and do my exercises. Came up the Ladder and Ran for the camera. LOOK, Bob, a frond fell of the stag horn and the sun is shining on it.
Snap!

Snap! oops got the photographer

Snap! again see if you can make your shadow touch it. WOOOO HOOO I am having FUN without the computer. Withdrawal symptoms set in, I am desperate.
SOOOO I see FIVE Big Red Hibiscus, Look Bob they are huge! I think I will measure one. SIX INCHES!
Have you ever seen them that big before?  Well, have you?
Bob SIGHS    and finally it is NOON! I have gone a half day without turning on the computer.

to be continued

  2. Ha! 48 hours is a long, long time to go without a computer, Sandra. Next time - if there ever is a NEXT time - choose a smaller number. :))

  4. I wish I could clean the house in an hour! I would have to take a week off to get my house clean and then it still wouldn't be clean! lol I blame it on the kids. The house was clean before I had them! lol

    Have a Great Day!

  5. You did good! I wish you would come here and clean like that for me. Like Deb says, when you say you are not going to do something, then it is all you can think about.... Kind of like I am about eating when I am dieting. Same thing...Great pics. The hibiscus is gorgeous. No, I have not seen one that big.

  6. Before you take a computer break, you need to find a local chapter of C.U.A. (computer user anonymous)!

    Have a great weekend.

    Best,

  7. I probably ought to do that. Well actually I have. Every time we go camping I am sans computer for up 3 days. It's much easier when you are camping.

  8. Oh the love of a Hibiscus!
You must not get any freezing temperatures to withstand a 6 inch Red Hibiscus!!
    It is stunning.
Tried them a few times, but not at my current residence for two years.
    Hmmm.
    Should I dare.
Thanks Green Thumb Sandra and Bob...

  9. I AM LOVING this and cannot wait till tomorrow!!!! I now hope you have lots of posts and document each hour of each day! This could be a tiny journal "Forty Eight Hours Of A Computer Junkie's Withdrawel!" It almost makes me want you to take more computer time off!! And you have been a good girl so far, you have not gotten into any trouble, I would have. Of course my favorite picture is you touching the staghorn! Bored out of your mind, but so funny!!

  10. I didn't realize that computer withdrawal could be so severe. I'm glad you found these activities to fill half of your first day. I can hardly wait to see what happens next.
By the way, I like your shadow pictures.

  15. Lol)..good for you! I've hardly been on myself and though you certainly get stuff done, you fall behind in this charming sphere. I'm not visiting as much as before but notice a few bloggers haven't been back on for weeks either..but that's just my visitors. The others are probably just sick of me (ah ha ha)
I enjoyed your funny post- and yes-that's a big beautiful hibicus!!

  20. Did you get the shakes and jitters? It would be hard to go two days without touching a computer...I wonder if the internet on my phone would count? Never mind!

I love that huge hibiscus, one petal is about the size of the ones I normally see.
