Inside Walmart early AM this past Saturday, amazing jewelry boxes that look like shoes. Tiny little drawer and places to stick rings and earrings..
Outside Walmart 2 female ducks ignoring the male, I almost let my basket roll into a car while trying to get this photo with my pocket camera. where is the long lens when I need it.
I was parked next to this Wannabee Hummer, and was admiring it when the man that owned it came to the car.... he was 89 if he was a day.... Men, they never get to old for toys...
I first thought those were shoes and I was thinking I'd break my neck in them.
ReplyDeleteLove the ducks and the description of the guy with the jeep.
I was so behind on reading blogs ~ but I am catching up and it looks like you are keeping yourself busy Sandra!! Love those little ducks outside Walmart. We have seagulls outside our Walmart. Seagulls...like there is a sea or an ocean in Saskatchewan... I think they come for the McDonald's french fries. :(
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week my friend!

Hey, I thought those things were shoes! they make such wild ones/shoes today. Why not?
ReplyDeleteHooray for the old guy with the like-a-Hummer car. He must be a 'catch' for some old dame! Takes money to put gas in those things, doesn't it? -chuckle-
Nope, never too old for the big toys. :-) Love those new shoes you bought, Sandra! lol
ReplyDeleteyeah, jeep does make some mighty large vehicles - for manly men. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, those "shoes" are wild! Glad they are for just lookin' and not wearin'. *haha*
ReplyDeleteNeat Jeep~ love the patriotic tire cover!
I thought it was two male ducks and the one was being left out. Oh Jeeps. It's my MOM's dream car.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
goose
Do we ever get too old for toys? I don't think I will! Love the shoes! Even if they are jewelry boxes.
ReplyDeleteThat guy is just "feeling his oats"!!!! Go Jeep! And I saw the shoes and said - "Surely, Sandra did not buy those!"!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe duck snapping story is hilarious!!! By the way, they are two males and one female, they will stalk her till she gives in. If she does not, she will be raped most likely. Anyway, good job on that snap even though there was nearly a car/cart accident!! The Hummer and the old man, your observation is quite apt...you would expect a big macho army type man, maybe he used to be one and can relive his dreams this way. So just that one picture and your thoughts are really a whole little sad story in itself. Your Wal-Mart adventures are some of your best posts ever. Even when not much happens, your observations are so funny and right on the mark. Nothing ever happens to me in Wal-Mart, maybe you have to live in Florida.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby got the two-door variety when he was 61, I think. It is a fun car, good for where we live, but not really made for old folks. It gets increasingly difficult to get both legs up and into it. And I'm almost six feet tall!!! I have to go back and look at your picture to see if it has running boards.
ReplyDeleteMorning Mad Snapper....love the shoe jewelry boxes and thank goodness I don't have to ever wear anything like that.
ReplyDeleteGoogle reader decided not to put my today's post up. It is our interview with Sasha our Chef. Dang reader
Guess I'll repost over the weekend in hopes of google feeling better.
Hugs Madi and Mom
I have to tell you I just think those shoes are just so cute! I am going to look for them. I know they are a jewelry box. So cute. sandie
ReplyDeleteYou have a whole lot more fun in WalMart than I do!! I really thought at first glance those were real shoes.
ReplyDeleteI love those Jeeps and tell hubby he should trade in his truck for one. But, he won't part with his truck!
Cute shoes, but nothing I would choose to get lol, not my type of things...I'd rather go for that jeep hehe!
ReplyDeleteSo true about men and their toys!
ReplyDeleteLove the jewelry boxes.
This is funny...men and their toys:)
ReplyDeleteGirl you better watch where you are going! :)
ReplyDeleteCool shoe jewelry boxes...I don't think I have seen those before.
I thought you were showing us your latest purchase.....
ReplyDeleteActually I have seen some sweet young things trying to "walk" on those things. Many just can't make it happen.
Love the wannabe Hummer.
Sadly, I've seen women wearing shoes similar to the jewelry boxes..lol! As jewelry boxes they're cute. :) The Mallards are so cute! I see Mallards at our Wal-mart also. I even saw where someone had ran a female over with a car in the road next to it...so sad!
ReplyDeleteA lot of teen boys are getting those jeeps around here. I can't imagine they're cheap! My son is lucky grandpa chipped in for his car. :)
Cute jewelry boxes...my grandgirls would love those!
ReplyDeleteour Walmart doesn't have ducks but we do have seagulls
ReplyDeleteas to the 89 year old and his Jeep...GO Daddy GO! At least it's not a woman young enough to be his granddaughter -grin-.
ReplyDeleteI figure someone bought some shoes similar to those and found out they hurt like heck. Rather than toss them she decided to turn them into something useable and now gets the royalties on the sales. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGinny is right about those mallards.
Love the idea of an 89 year old with the Jeep.
For one second there, I thought those were real shoes.
ReplyDeleteSo true......my husband is not QUITE 89, and you should see his toys!
ReplyDeleteVery funny jewelry boxes!
ReplyDeleteAn old guy driving a Hummer? Now that's really funny!
