Butterfly - Passion - Poinciana

Imagine 11 of these pods blooming at one time, it calls me all day

they get food and water from this plant

I know I am  old when I am  taking clothes out of the basket to put in the washer, and I jump 3 feet high and backwards because there is a big roach in the basket... .... it was a BROWN LEAF...

I know I am  old when I  can't tell if the black spots around my head are gnats or floaters in the eye...

they lay there eggs on this passion vine

GOOD NEWS is Amazon.com is moving 20 miles from us...BAD NEWS is we will have to pay 7 percent sales tax when we order...
can you see the ballerina?

  2. Beautiful, beautiful.

Not so beautiful... Imagining your fright when you thought you saw a roach. You pooor thing!

Then can come home in grocery bags, in FL, yes? I remember. We could only use one kind of bag... Plastic probably. Not paper bags.

And think our daughter used to unload groceries and jap the bags right out in the garbage. Or some sort.

Guess what? Cockroaches were the ONLY thing I tested allergic to. lol. All the rest, just make extra sensitive me, react with allergy symptoms. lol...

  7. I can imagine being startled thinking you have a roach...they give me the creeps more than anything I know. I had rather have 10 snakes as one cockroach...

  8. Your photos are beautiful, and I refuse to believe that you are getting old. We had the same problem when Amazon opened a facility near Chattanooga.

  10. I SEE the ballerina!!! And I love this passion plant!! Your butterflies are in the sun and beautiful!!!! Now, you WILL be getting those egg snaps for us? It will test your macro! SIS, we are exactly alike!!! I jump all the TIME because of the scary floater bugs, and I am always calling for Phil to kill the sock lint and leaves. I love the way you made it into a Jeff Foxworthy thing, I need to do that with something, maybe THIS it is.

  12. Wow, your photos are awesome, Sandra! So beautiful.

I've been known to wave my hand to shoo away the gnats only to realize it was a floater. Haha! Yep, I'm gettin' old.

I remember those huge flying roaches from when we lived in FL and TX.... Thank Goodness we don't have them here. BUT--we have other nasty things!!!!

It won't be long til we will have to pay sales tax on anything and everything we order from the internet.. Good ole Congress...

    Hugs,
    Betsy

I would have totally freaked if I thought I found a roach in the laundry basket. I can only imagine the relief when you discovered it was just a leaf

  22. I do that pretty little ballerina. Your Poinciana and Passion flowers are just gorgeous.

7percent? Is that all, we are closer to 9%. The state of WA has been making Amazon collect taxes from us for awhile now and what I buy isn't shipped from WA.

  28. Sandra, your butterflies and flowers are gorgeous. They make up for the thought of the possibility of cockroaches crawling around your neighbourhood in Florida. Sorry, but I had to smile as I can relate because of bad eyesight and the fear of imagined creepy crawlies.
