The Accidental Movie

Above is a video I made my accident. Play it and it is a recording of the screen recorder, well, recording. NOTE, the only thing moving is the blinking pink dot...

I was poking apps and following the manual for beginners on iPads and it said Swipe down from top right corner to find the short cut widget.

I swiped down from the top right corner of above and the cutest bestest widget was
hiding in plain sight. Apple is expert at hiding things we need to use.
The widget below in top right corner has all the short cuts to all the stuff I use
alarm, scanner, timer, camera, screen brightness, sound, what ever you want there you can add it.
I know this is boring, I can't help myself. Trust me, the new will wear off and something else will takes its place

I poked each item to see what it does, then I added a couple by following the manual and then I notice the pink button with a round dot and poked it.
I thought it did nothing. but then I realized it was
The Screen Recorder and that it had recorded the mini video at the top..

this is how I learn new stuff and create POO posts. (perfectly ordinary object)
DON'T FRET, I have plans to do a PROPER screen recording just for you.

I am thankful for the iPad a friend gifted me, I am thankful my brain works and I can play with it, I am thankful for the friends that will stick by me when I write boring posts.
You taught me well, Angel Brian, to be thankful no matter what life throws at us

  5. Glad to see you having fun with your iPad. WE have an old one, one given to us by the village to do all village business on and can be used as a personal one too. I have a mini one that my daughter gave me when she got a new one. I haven't bothered to learn much on them just too lazy. I like my Apple laptop and iPhone best. What I love is that they are all automatically synced. Take a photo and it goes to iPad and laptop automatically. Same with messages, mail and everything. Our Apple watches are also connected to the iPhone. My hearing aides are also connected to the phone. How do we keep up with all this stuff???

  6. My TV recorder is very different from yours, but you are better at demonstrating and you have fun. I saw the pink dot blinking. I like the fact that you share what you've been doing. It keeps your mind active and it's entertaining. Have a good day!

  8. Learning new things is always fun. Even more so when it's a new electronic toy. Not only have you learned something new but it gave you blog material.
I like that it has all the things you use right there in one spot.

  11. Sandra, first of all what you consider boring may be of help to someone else, you never know, so thanks for sharing. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and one of your strenghs is certainly learning new things.

  12. It's unlikely because I am so thoroughly an Android user (Iphone forced on me for work has been the bane of my life and a significant contributing factor in deciding to call it quits here), but should I ever forget I dislike Apple products so intensely and need guidance on how to use them, I will turn to you (not Apple - their sense of what passes for logic escapes me entirely). At least you make sense of the insensible. (I guess now Apple are going to hunt me down and sue me for being so negative, but I was reading yesterday about Concrete/abstract, Sequential/random (look it up it is vaguely interesting) and came to the conclusion that some systems suit some ways of thinking and other systems have been designed by or for other ways of thinking - and I don't think like Apple developers and users).

  13. You are certainly NOT boring! Like my late friend Rick used to say, "Every day is a school day."
Please, keep exploring and we'll keep reading.

  15. My husband swears by that "hidden" screen and has all our automated house switches(lights and ceiling fans)there making it easy to turn lights and ceiling fans on and off while not leaving the comfort of the couch LOL

  16. With you, there is always something new to learn. Love it ... wish I had the umph to do some of that too. Hidden screens make me crazy and when things rearrange on my mini iPhone its not a good thing. Dave came to my rescue last night..whew.
I think our oldest granddaughter is coming over this afternoon to visit for a while before she returns to Las Vegas and her hubby and "child" Luna. Not sure which one misses her more..

  17. It seems my "ancient" Android doesn't offer that.
I think that's a good thing. 🤣 (just kidding) I can record video's via the camera option. That's good enough for a luddite like me. 💙

  19. Your posts are never boring, and I found this interesting even if I don't own an iPad. It's all I can do to manage my cell phone and desktop computer and the tv remote. My brain can't handle a whole lot more than that. LOL. But this was fun and if I had an iPad, which I probably never will, I would try this. It was entertaining just thinking about it. LOL. Have a great rest of your day!

  20. Making mistakes is part of learning. You are so good at these things. Heck I barely understand my new S24 phone. I had to learn so many new things yet Mark got an apple this time and doesn't seem to have any issues. I had thought it would be easier to stick with what I had but it wasn't.

  21. Never boring, dear friend. We learn from YOU. Mom has that swipe down feature too. Just be careful not to hit "focus" or it silences all your notifications. Mom does it accidentally sometimes and then wonders why none of the texts are coming through.
