My favorite Santa is the 2-foot-tall Paper Mache, given to me 30 plus years ago by my daughter-in-law Michelle, my son Dan' wife. In the Spirit of Christmas, I have a sweet story for you
Say What Want
Unable to remember where I found raisins last, I tapped my WM app on the phone, and it directed me to A/17.
Aha! the very aisle I was standing in, spying the cute little Jamaican Girl 4 feet away putting Stock on the shelves, I asked her if she could point me to the Raisins.
Pulling our her phone, she tapped it twice, held it out and with a huge grin on her face, said Say What Want! With a big grin on my face, I said Raisins.
Up came A/17 the very one she was stocking, the very one I had just searched in vain.
I threw my hands up in the sign language for Well where are they?
We started to search together, and she pointed and started to laugh.
Pointing while laughing the hand signal for THERE they are!
She was so cute, so sweet and despite our language barrier and my interrupting her work, she helped me to find them.
It was fun, and I was happy and so was she. The thing is some dastardly person had placed the same type of box behind the first one and I grabbed 2 and when I got home One of them was Chocolate Covered Raisins. Bob has eaten all of them and I ran out of raisins, but he was thrilled.
this was posted on Fourpawsetc by accident, I deleted it and added it here. this is one reason i am not doing two blogs. Memory is shot

Chocolate covered raisins, YUM. I've done that at Walmart trying to find things. I look in the aisle it says they are in and find nothing.

And a funny ending, too! I love someone who enjoys their work and is eager to help!! Whatever happened to that?
Copy and pasted the comments from this being posted on thew wrong blog. ov vey
Love your photos and love that cute story, and now I know how much you like raisins.
I love the story and I love the Santa...aftercwhile I will tell you what a stupid thing I did yesterday...nothing rwally important...
The chocolate raisins were meant to be! I am puzzled, however, that you say there was a language barrier between you and the charming Jamaican girl stocking the shelves. English is the language spoken in Jamaica. Maybe she was Haitian?
😊 I did think there had been a mix-up... Yxx
What a sweet story.
all's well that ends well, and Bob got an unexpected treat in the mix! Sometimes good things happen when we aren't planning it and God provides. I enjoyed this story and the beautiful Santa too! Thanks for sharing it with us. Made me smile this early foggy morning!
Hello,
Finding items in the food stores can be an adventure.
They move things around a lot, not sure why.
I like chocolate covered raisins, yum!
Take care, have a wonderful day!
Hello Sandra :) at last I am back and can visit my blog friends and I enjoyed your sweet story and the photo of your Santa. I love chocolate raisins, and Bob sure enjoyed them. It is frustrating when stores move their merchandise around, I'm not sure why they do this, when customers don't like it. How have you been sweet lady I have missed you
What a fun encounter! And even surprising Bob with those chocolate covered raisins was a hit. (Unintentional, but still ... haha.)
I've no doubt you made that young stocker's whole day. This story sure made me smile.
You know I love that red Santa. Michelle has wonderful tastes.
I had no idea one could ask the phone where things are located in a store. That was a wonderful and fun story about the great Raisin hunt.
Hugs Cecilia
Love the story and the Santa's! And Bob got a benefit from some one else misplacing the raisins!
I LOVE that story for lots of reasons. The main one being is the worker did not give up. So many workers will say I don't know. But she went the extra mile. Just makes you feel good.
And Bob got the chocolate raisins!
Now I want chocolate covered raisins. What a great story.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Beau. ♥
What a wonderful story, proving there really are good people out there!
Glad you found those raisins. I like your communication with her. Oh my on the chocolate covered raisins but they are yummy. Love the Santa. Take Care.
I love the Christmas cheer in this blog post. It makes me feel good when there is a pleasant interaction with the workers at Walmart. Doesn't happen very often at ours though. I keep trying anyways.
Love chocolate covered raisins too...lucky Bob. You helped his sweet tooth and got some iron in him too.

We're glad you found your raisins and the bonus chocolate covered ones for Bob. Wegmans grocery stores now tell you not just what aisle the item you're looking for is on, but also which side of the aisle and then they have section numbers (that are numbered on the shelves), so you only have a small area to search. Too bad Wegmans hasn't made it as far south as you are.
I started reading this and thought wait a minute, this sounds familiar. I see you even transferred our comments from this morning.
such a cute story and Bob ended up being the happy recipient of something he has enjoyed. glad you found them even though there was a language barrier between you and your helper.
That was so nice that together you found the treasure you were seeking!
I loved this and I so love Jamaicans, never a dull moment, plus their gorgeous accents!
that is a cute story. At least you two found a way to comunicate. I have been in Walmart and asked an employee a question only to have them gesture to follow them and they bring me to another employee who speaks English:). Your Santa is beautiful.
What a heartwarming interaction! You see the doctor tomorrow, right? I'm thinking of you.
That is a heart touching story. Probably helps that you're a sweet person to deal with. I think maybe the young lady might have been from somewhere else as most Jamaicans speak English but with a lovely Island accent. I've bought the wrong items by accident that were mixed in what I was looking for. I've started reading boxes closer so as not to make that mistake again. LOL
Love 😊
